  • Pseudopathaso----thats a very silly thing thing to say. Of course people are going to disagree with you. Myself for one

  • Fuck you christ-fucker

  • is he using triggers?...its a cool song regardless

  • Nile drummers are only using triggers for the kick drums... at least Roddy, Laureano and Kollias (the big three!), for sure.

  • nah Im pretty sure Kollias doesnt use triggers for the fact that he wants the deep sound from a bass drum rather than that high pitch tone when using triggers. Theres a vid on Youtube here where Kollias himself talks about it, just go searchin around for it. Although.. he might abuse them during live shows, no problem though, he still sounds kick ass!! :)

  • Kollias has admitted he uses triggers. You can't physically make the mechanical drum pedals reach sixteenth notes at 260+ bmp like Kollias and Roddy do.

  • this isnt correct at all.

sure does he use triggers, but he could play this stuff also without triggers, but noone, even not he himself, would be able to hear it !

  • Uh, ever heard of microphones?

  • ever played this fast live? i think not, if you want to create a similar sound with mics, then good night....the costs would be to big. but of course, in principle youre right, its possible to do something like this with mircophones.

  • Flo Mounier only triggers his kicks, and if the venue's good enough, he won't even do that. He's hardly Mr. Slowcoach.

  • @derossi13 Okay, he uses triggers to hear the drums, he's even said it at clinics

  • He records with triggers for clarity of sound. I've seen him play acoustic just as fast, but due to how fast he plays, the drums aren't able to keep up, thus nessesatiating triggers

  • nile fucking rules! i have seen them a few times and they only get better.

  • i love this fucking band, they like my fav heavy shit

  • I know that Mr. Sander and Mr.Dallas they will come someday to my city... nile is the best band of the world sure after opeth ...

  • im gunna be bold and say that Nile tops opeth. hahaha, just my opinion.

  • mike is more creative than karl..granted karl is a genious i just think mike is better all around

  • I don't think anyone will disagree with the fact that Nile >>>>>>>>>> Opeth in every way, man, lol.

  • They both play two completely different styles of Death Metal. (Nile-Brutal Death, Opeth/Progressive Death Metal) Personally i'd take Opeth anyday.

Nile nevertheless are an amazing band.

  • Not necessarily. When I want soaring melody, I'll put on Opeth. When I want some really brutal, but clever, music, I'll whack on Nile. You just can't compare them. Both are really great bands.

  • Hail free rights!

  • nah man the guys from nile are about 10 times better technically than opeth, and way more creative musically. i know people are like "wow opeth sounds so different from other metal bands, their so progressive"... but those people generally dont listen to that much metal... most of opeths riffs are pretty simple, just use modal scales and stuff you're not used to.... nile is the real shit... and michael is an overrated guitarist, plus a huge asshole

  • Why does music have to be a competition all the time? I love both bands, and I would never call one better than the other. As far as technicality goes as well, you obviously don't know a fat lot as technicality does not equal speed. Mikael is an excellent guitarist because his phrasing is simply perfect, however Dallas is an excellent guitarist also because his style is so intense. As far as riffs go, who gives a shit how technically far apart they are? Most riffs from either bands sound sick.

  • i'm not even going to waste my time with you, as you are quite blatantly ignorant. metal is metal dude, why fight against your own people? it's REAL mainstream music you should be screwing at, not progressive bands like opeth. i suppose you are going to be telling me that necrophagist are better technical musicians than meshuggah next? who the fuck cares, just enjoy it.

  • That's probably true that necrophagist is better technically than meshuggah, but meshuggah is trying to be experimental, they break down barriers where as necrophagist is just ripping off Death and Cannibal Corpse. Meshuggah is in many senses it's own act by far. So yes, we can enjoy it, but I was just making a point. And I don't really like Necrophagist.

  • necrophagist is better technically than meshuggah? I dont think so. They are different. Both extremly sick.

  • @petersinol i like meshuggah and necrophagist..but necro is really more technically than meshuggah but it is nor so important

  • @guitaristheart that is Your opinion. I can't agree with You but I can agree - it doesn't matter. Peace.

  • @petersinol peace = )

  • theoretically they aren't better, because the music in this age is only based around the emotion it inflicts. If it doesn't inflict the emotion it's trying to portray, then it's probably not working. They are different because they take a strong influence from early progressive acts, which are far different than the standards of Death metal. Nile takes egyptian influences, but they are very much like other tech death acts. Opeth is different from the crowd. So is Cynic. They are all awesome.

  • @kibbson Bloodbath is really good too. Its the vocalist from Opeth's other band. Think Opeth meets Cannibal Corpse.

  • I rock a bad ass Heretic tattoo...noone ever knows what it means...LOL. In a world among christians!!!

  • I am a Christian and I know what it means. I only listen to death metal. The pathetic part is it's people like you that claim we are ignorant. Pull your head out pal.

  • Why so mad, as an athiest I have no less respect for you as a christian

  • yes, we really are. and mormons arent christian, they belive that Jesus is the result of a sexual relationship, which botches half of the rest of christian belief, infact, i like to think or mormism as one big ironic statement

  • Christians are extremly ignorant, lol mormon, crazies

  • This song is like the bible for amazing death metal

Seriously i fucking shit out my cock whenever i fucking hear it its so amazing

  • i wish i was there!

  • 2 of the best guitarists in death metal

  • trey azagthoth is good too :D

  • true but these guys are better

  • Really? I looked up a video and they fucking sucked.

  • Unas Slayer of the Gods and this song

    the best solos....

  • the solos of Burning Pits of the Duat are olso great

  • the best song of that album!!

  • Can't forget Defiling the Gates of Ishtar.

  • This surely is contender for best DM song ever ..?

  • 3:35 is the best part of the song! wish they repeated it more in the song

  • 3:35 EPIC!!!

  • Good sound quality.

  • Nile goes through bassists like underwear.

  • Im not surprised really.Must take a fucking machine to keep up with them.

  • I am. I wanna know how they find so many bassists with THAT much skill. Look at him play throughout the song. I wouldn't wanna be in his place having to learn all the songs for a tour.

  • yeah dude, that would suck.Period.

But at least you'll feel like a god if you nail it.

  • 90% Of Death Metal bands really big or not that big know each other and their music, Whenever a band needs a musician for a tour/recording/session they pretty much just contact each other. For example the bass player in this vid was contacted from his previous band that played a tour with nile "Decrepit Birth" And George Kollias was placed in Nile after Niles old drummer Derek Roddy named him as a possible member. If you where still wondering hope that solved your question.

  • yllättävän hyvä äänenlaatu, ei perinteistä puuroa :)

  • this is one of those songs that ultimately leaves me confused, i dont know whether to cum or bash someone.

  • This song is so damned dense and destructive in its sound, it's amazing.

  • goddamn this song is orgasmic! my favorite nile title. i wish they'd come near me on tour sometime.

  • the bass player is amasing, but the two stars are so big, it just takes over. i couldnt believe it when i met em! wooo!

  • this song is so fucking crushing. i love it

  • 4:34 doth slayeth offeth my nutseth.

  • Its great Dallas sounds exactly the same as he does in albums. Maybe even better?

  • Harmi ettei Kolliaksen basarit kuulu videos. :/ Muuten vituns kova veto!

  • great quality video. best live nile video to date. good job man 5 stars!

  • one of the best metal solos

  • thanks for this video man!

this song is one of the best songs ever really

the solo is one of the best things that happened in my life xD

  • I like how you can never hear the bass. /sarchas m

  • u can barley hear karl

  • He's at the other side of the stage.

  • im amazed that dallas and karl can play that 2 minute solo so close to what they recorded. usually when bands write such long solos, they just improvise at live concerts, but not these guys. im obsessd now.

  • these guys r such amazing musicians, i wonder why they dont get more publicity. they shud be playin in fuckin 100,000 people stadiums by now.

  • One of the most epic songs in metal, hands down.

  • this song is fucking brutal nile is fucking intense shit

  • is it jon vesano on the bass?

  • I think its chris lollis

  • its chris for sure

  • i was wrong it was joe payne during his live playing period

  • no this is chris lollis. he's been playin live for nile since jon vesano had to leave the band.

  • no its chris. joe payne windmilled at lot more and a lot faster

  • but this show is in 2005, and chris starts play 9in 2007 and has brown hair and its not the song and evident to windmill like he can do

  • sry im wrong lol its in 2007

  • ok, as long as im right

  • oh man

if i could growl like karl i would fuckin slaughter all the emo kids with my vokills
