I noticed Daemon bikes site is down and out of service and since they are I cant aske them a question so I will ask you you might know I have a felling its the carb. But when I ride the bike it gose as if it has all the power like it sould but then it bogs down as if the choke is on but its off almost as if it going to die but it goes but slow yet idles good any ideas whey I may be losing power. but some times it goes just fine I'm thinking on a new carb the cheap sucks.
those older huffy frames are great for those motors:) picked up 1 yesterday for my next build. i seen where sum 1 asked how many teeth the cog. i think its either 10 or 11 on the 1 on the motor. with a 44 tooth sprocket on the back wheel that wuts the kits i have worked with came with.
@superfunnyman123 - I hate to jinx it with a number but the reliability has amazed me. The engine has sat through two winters and fired up first try each spring. When I first bought it I took out every bolt and replaced them with higher grade studs loctited into place which probably helped. The oil I use has stabilizers in it also for the winter. The stock spark plug lasted about a week but an NGK-B6HS lasted ever since. On weekends I hop on it for 50 mile trips without a second thought.
I cannot remember how many teeth but the gearing is stock. Some guys gear them up for speed while others gear them down for hills. I am tempted to gear it down some more because I live in a hilly area. The stock gearing is good for gently rolling type hills.
It is possible your intake is leaking. I put an o-ring on mine to ensure a tight seal but diagnostics is not my forte. You might try one of the help forums at motorbicycling or motoredbikes
It was not difficult but it does take a certain amount of tinkering ability. I ordered mine online from bluecollarbike. It took me an afternoon to take my first ride then a week or two of tinkering before I got it dialed in enough to trust on a longer ride. I did not build it for speed. Any faster than 20MPH hurts too much if the bike breaks in half or something.

how do you get it to idle with out it shuting off because i cant get mine to idle with out it shutting off
BREWESPE000 2 years ago
Either screw the idle adjust screw in on the left of the carb or screw out the cable adjuster on top of the carb to adjust the idle.

also i cant get it to ride with the choke all the way down it will shut if its not in the middle
