  • @PACER2320 I use charcoal from my camp fire I don't no if they put something in the charcoal briquettes.

  • Thank you for this very valuable video!!! I know how to distill water, but I did not know you could just toss a piece of charcoal and that would do just as well! I see those flowers all over my area in the spring and summer too! I'll be trying that in a few months! :) :) :)

    the charcoal can be from a regular fire made from tinder and kindling? also I know charcoal helps remove pollutants/chemicals, just throwing it in the boiling water will have this same effect?

  • @tim3jones i wish it was Indian tea..lol..but unfortunately i had to settle for average green tea,it was all i had at the time. also i'm from the Caribbean,i don't think there's that plant here but i still watch your vids {like the fishing,etc} and learn alot, knowledge is important-so keep Educating viewers like myself and those all over the world! keep up the great work!

  • please pardon my stupidity tim, i just want clarification before i try this myself, your technique is to just boil the water with the crushed charcoal in it? then you filter out the charcoal or just drink that down too? is that correct?

    i always said a healthy dose of clay and charred carbon does you the world of good lol!

  • @lukkbox boiling the water then ad crushed charcoal is a great purifier, it don't take much charcoal but it works great .

  • My friend and I are about to camp like you, where we have to make everything. The charcoal, do we just mash it up and put it directly in the water? Or do we have to have that thingy u put it in?

  • @sneakabout27 you can mash it up, It don't need a lot of charcoal a1/2 teaspoon for 16 oz .

  • I was wondering if you have yaupon holly where you live?- I have just discovered that the caffeine content is up to 20 times more than that which is in coffee. All one has to do is boil the leaves. I am in the deep south and it grows wild here everywhere. Just thought it would go great with the tea- Great videos please keep them coming.
