@alexanderthegreat06 the CB isnt playing over the top in man coverage if you knew anything about football you dont have the corner play over the stop unless you have the saftey in man... that why the saftey is back there to be over the top but in this situation the saftey blitzed leaving one V one which even if there agility is low the WR that is 20 speed higher and 6'6 should easily beat the coverage or be able to go over the corner beings it isnt Darrelle revis playing on him

In madden like in real life when defending it is more about the angle of pursuit then speed. The game does obviusly have errors just liek any game. By far this is the best and most realistic madden game created and probaly the best sports game ever created. If your looking for a perfect game get off your ass go to college and become a game designer and make that game yourself, everyone will buy it.

speed on this game really DOESNT matter! I run with the vikings, and when I play with my nephew, who plays with the saints, I can run a sweep with AP who is 97 speed, and at times I can't even turn the corner to go upfield cuz his MLB Vilma, speed 84, literally runs stride-for-stride with AP. just one of the many things wrong with this madden game...

The updates really have fixed that problem in the game. But you do have the PS3 which does suck soo....thats your poison. I burn kids all day with all 3 Moss', Hey Bay Bay, Hester, Harvin, and even Randle El. PS3 FTF!
Madden has a new setting, you can go and see it under settings. The new setting regulates the differences in speed b/w the players. So like if a guy has 97 speed he won't seem much faster than a guy with 75 speed.
You can change the setting to make the discrepancy wider. Meaning, the guy with 97 speed will actually play a lot faster than a guy with 75 speed. But if you play online you can't change the setting because it is auto-programmed.
Sounds kind of like real football, rarely do players get open by running straight down the field in actual football. IF they are open on the sideline its because of a double move or a safety making a wrong decision but the middle of the field ALWAYS has some holes in it
this is basically like having steve smith matched up on i dont know boss bailey, steve smith wins that matchup every time. A 75 speed rating indicates me to me that you run a 4.5-4.6 40 time, I havent played madden 10 but i do know this, a guy with 99 speed (4.35 or less 40 time) runs burns a guy who runs a 4.6 every time.
What does agility have to do with running straight. NOTHING!!! The WR wasnt making a cut he was on a go route. Straight line speed means nothing unless you mess with the speed threshold and you shouldnt have to if this is SUPPOSED to be a SIMULATION of NFL FOOTBALL!!!

With Panthers, i have Smith who runs past nearly all CB when they go for blitz. My opinion anyway! ;)

there is a setting in your options my friend.... where the speed differences are able to be changed. By default it is like 50% so there isnt much of a difference, you need to lower that and you will see more burning

if you would have your receiver do something other than run straight down the field you probably would get open. A slant against that coverage would be a touchdown at least 40% of the time. Its not that speed doesnt matter, its that you dont know how to use it

The updates really have fixed that problem in the game. But you do have the PS3 which does suck soo....thats your poison. I burn kids all day with all 3 Moss', Hey Bay Bay, Hester, Harvin, and even Randle El. PS3 FTF!

Madden has a new setting, you can go and see it under settings. The new setting regulates the differences in speed b/w the players. So like if a guy has 97 speed he won't seem much faster than a guy with 75 speed.
You can change the setting to make the discrepancy wider. Meaning, the guy with 97 speed will actually play a lot faster than a guy with 75 speed. But if you play online you can't change the setting because it is auto-programmed.

Sounds kind of like real football, rarely do players get open by running straight down the field in actual football. IF they are open on the sideline its because of a double move or a safety making a wrong decision but the middle of the field ALWAYS has some holes in it

this is basically like having steve smith matched up on i dont know boss bailey, steve smith wins that matchup every time. A 75 speed rating indicates me to me that you run a 4.5-4.6 40 time, I havent played madden 10 but i do know this, a guy with 99 speed (4.35 or less 40 time) runs burns a guy who runs a 4.6 every time.

What does agility have to do with running straight. NOTHING!!! The WR wasnt making a cut he was on a go route. Straight line speed means nothing unless you mess with the speed threshold and you shouldnt have to if this is SUPPOSED to be a SIMULATION of NFL FOOTBALL!!!

Agree with the kid. I get a single high saftey and I have Moss matched up on a corner and I get my protection set up and I get good time to throw but I get the same thing. Or I get 2 man under and I have a linebacker lined up with my best reciever and he stays with him down the feild on a post.

PFFFFFT! If anybody on this earth still believes that this football game is the same madden from years past, you are on some serious drugs! the madden franchise died when the xbox came into play. The last time madden was great, 2004. it got game of the year! why was that? it was just on the playstation 2! This is no more madden it is now EA football 10. Madden is an emberrasment! Not worth $60, I wont even buy it for $10.

If the CB went into a blitz then your WR would of burnt him alive, but the fact is the CB went Zone coverage to create this gap, and you then passed the ball before you even gave your WR a chance to spin past the CB. With Panthers, i have Smith who runs past nearly all CB when they go for blitz. My opinion anyway! ;)

there is a setting in your options my friend.... where the speed differences are able to be changed. By default it is like 50% so there isnt much of a difference, you need to lower that and you will see more burning

yea i know they killed the recvrs on mdn 10 no deep pases this year unless u leave the rec by himself thats the only way ul make a deep pass the sftys are on the recvrs like flys on shit .i guess we have to do dfrt skems . on its to slow i aint complaining but its kind of weak its less real .
