I've heard everything from "Bon Jovi" to "Lost Highway." I can't for the life of me understand why the group doesn't think much of their 2nd record. ("7800 F).

Even after hearing all their records over the years, "7800 F" NEVER lost its place as my favorite one. Whenever I have an 80s night, this record  ALWAYS spins once in my player.

@axman15 In my opinion, that's kind of a silly reason to not like this cd. Sometimes our most negative emotions can create good art. (Sublimation) I've heard everything from 'Bon Jovi' to 'Lost Highway' and '7800 F' NEVER lost its place as my favorite one. I love EVERY song on this cd. My favorite one is 'Hardest Part Is the Night.' When I listen to this CD, my immediate response is: "NOT ONE SONG ON '7800 F' IS WASTED SPACE." A real 80s icon even if the group can't see that.

@dionyz88 Thanks. I have respect for most of his other records. And I know the excellent "Slippery When Wet" and "New Jersey" were the most popular. I would guess "New Jersey" is his favorite child. I also thought "Have a Nice Day" had some great moments.

But overall, I like the intense power, the consistency, (and the almost heavy metal strength) of "7800 F."

Ofcourse, Mr. Hawthorne didn't think his book "Fanshawe" was so good. But I kind of liked this pre "Scarlet Letter" book. .
