  • The motor is a 2500 Rpm 36 volt 2.5 HP permanent magnet motor. I use a 300 amp Kelly controller with a 0 to 5 ohm twist throttle. The Motor was originally on an electric sweeper. With my 190 pound body in the seat the car weighs about 550 pounds. It flies.

  • Hi can you please tell me about the technical details of the motor..pls

  • Very creative! And beautiful job!!! I would love a nice simple car like that. It's perfect for around town. Nice work!

  • No state license plate? :-O

  • 30 MPH. So on the streets with other cars would it be able to keep up?

  • @Legacys1newgirl . Hi , The car can only go on streets marked 35 mph or less. but it will get up to top speed in a matter of seconds. there are many different motor and gearing combinations, the car can be less than 2 horse power and be licensed as a "Motor driven Cycle" Keep in mind that a 2 horse power electric motor is comparable to a 6 to 8 Horse power Gas engine, There is lots of power .

  • @thegreensbackhoe : isnt that a very strong motor

  • @tapil123

Hi , the car has a 2.5 HP electric motor . thats about the same as a 6 to 7 hp gas , the main weight of the car is in the batteries, That is why it so fast . thanks.

  • @Legacys1newgirl

i doubt its 30mph its more like 15mph max. that thing is not even street legal. its running off 2 12 volt batteries (total of 24v). its impossible for it to reach 30mph unless they have a good electric motor, controller and some more batteries.

  • So 30 mph. Would you say that would keep up with speed with other cars out on the road? As in if you were driving on the road would it be abled to keep up with ongping traffic?

  • how do you keep people from stealing it?, do you have some kind of key?

  • @mastax1234 . Hi , I installed a master shutoff with a key switch, I suppose it wouldnt be hard to track it down , since it is the only one in the area , thanks for the email

  • Im working on a sport trike. Im looking to top out at 60. I'm spec. parts now :) Btw, what motor did you use? Amp, volt, torque?

  • @corporaldog1 , It is running on a 36 volt 2.5 hp sweeper motor , 300 amp kelly controller , I dont remember the torque , draws about 60 amps full load, 1750 rpm , this should be about 90 foot pounds torque , lots of torque, I can gear it faster, but without suspension , it becomes hard to control. 20 to 25 mph is a good speed for this motor , we have some hills so I like to keep the uphill speed

  • I lol'd when she stopped at the first shop cause i mean that was like 50 metres or so and she still gets out her ride xD but damn nice thing, hoping to start building one too sometimes.

  • I like it. Im looking to make something that hold at least two people and has a little more speed. I love it through, cute.

  • Thank you, I will be doing a 2 seater in 6 months , This car will do 30 mph, I probably wont build any faster than that . Thanks. Lonnie

  • @thegreensbackhoe at 30mph would you be able to keep up with other cars out on the road?

  • Fantastic.
