Everytime I hear the German language or see Germans gathering in a large crowd waving their national flag, I think of Nazis. If you look at this video at time 1:08, it looks like the Germans are chanting "seig heil!" while giving the nazi salute. One can imagine what it was like during the Hitler years. Nope. I don't understand a word of German but when ever I see a group of the them I just think of Nazis. I've met five Germans and one Austrian where I live although I'm sure there are more. I really don't interact with them. Whenever there is any mention of Germany on tv, it's usually bad and/or about Hiltler and WWII. The only people that really study your culture here are the neo-nazis living in the south and midwest.
