hey, jus gt them to watch some tapes of showstyle bands. but the whole thing not just drum major intros... if i could show you how much we practiced i would.... but always talk them outta using props so they dont end up like coby... falling an fukn up da intro...
There is a diffrence in marching bands, you have core style(boreing) thats when the drum major stay in 1 spot the whole show. Then you have "show" which this band is, the drum major is part of the show. Once they blow the whistel the drum line takes over, we listen to them and the bass line. most of the show we dont even see the drum major.
ummmmm we kinda got second place that nite.....and prolly wuda did better if drum major didnt fall....we were really the underdog in our division becuz we wer the only ones from texas the others were from louisiana where bands tend to be a lil better.....and we have shitted on all other texas bands including beaumont ozen and they had twice as many people as us when we did it......sooooo kick rocks.....big ones
Carter has been a marching band and football icon in Dallas for 25 yrs. It as just until recently that townviw was able to figure out how to beat Carter. But when it comes plain old marching and drilling Carter is still the best band in dallas. I still haven't seen a band in Dallas that can out drill Carter.

Its sad what DISD is doing to these schools. If you are going to march in that style, at least try to improve DRAMATICALLY your marching and music. Trying to imitate the HSBC bands and blast and make all of those horrible sounds is not attractive. I am not a hater but I love this type of marching...when its done right, and I havent seen Carter or any of the schools in DISD do that.
fuk how they march they sound like shit when they play. and half the time it dont get cleared up until they go to college.they have fun but dont expect to see them do good against Springtown, Midlothian, Seguin or, Bowie at regular UIL competitions(concert season not marching) because they sound bad. but the choice in music is cool and all if u think of it like that. Yo. I'm from Brazoswood High. It's in Clute which is about 40 minutes south of Houston. But anyways, I liked the show, it's pretty cool. Not many bands in Texas do cool High-step marching and play badass music and shake thier ass on the field. I liked it. Yo. I'm from Brazoswood High. It's in Clute which is about 40 minutes south of Houston. But anyways, I liked the show, it's pretty cool. Not many bands in Texas do cool High-step marching and play badass music and shake thier ass on the field. I liked it. The only band down here that does that in our district is the Galveston Ball High Marching band. Everyone nowadays does gay ass low-step marching and gay shit. Keep up the hot sounds and cool moves. the only complaint i have is the dancing or whatever that was in the beginning with the drum majors....thats a disgrace to all marching bands/drum and bugle corps out there....i mean, the drum corps im in went to a football game, and the drum major did some slutty ass pole dance in the middle of the show, this reminds me of that..the marching sucks ass, you really need work, and the playing isnt together...

And the drumline on there is soundin like complete ANUS! I ain't lyin about it, I'm a percussionist so don't think I don't know what I'm talkin about.
Then, at 2:04, like some dude said earlier, half of a line is out of place tryin' to catch up. What is up with that. Either y'all need practice more or y'all need to just stand still and play like a concert band.

This band sounds horrible.
The DM fell tryin to imitate Southern, which is pathetic.
The band sounded okay, but not nearly as good as an Atlanta band, or a GA band actually.
Get the sound and the intonation together and y'all will be much better.

yo...on da real...they sounded decent, and as far as da DM fallin....fuck it....he fell, but he got back up and did his thing...now da band was good, so dont say that the band was horrible because the DM fell...he aint playing in da band, he's leading it...some people need to get their shit straight before they go and try to start drama about one DM mess up...

Nigga if you drum major you need to get yo ass off of the computer and practice yo backbend or something. If yall sound bad, yall sound bad. Take our advice and invest in some tuners, you will sound 50% better. Bring yo sorry ass band to Atlanta if you want to and watch their faces as you play. If you were blind and had no sense of smell you would think somebody took a big ass dump somewhere. Face it yall sound like shit and MLK,SHS, SWD, Redan, hell even Cedar Grove would get up in yall ass.

It was pretty good to me, but the DM should have known better to pick up that thingy that fell off his mase, when things happen like that he supposed to keep on going with the rehearsed routine NOT pick up the thingy that fell, by him doing that cuased his ass to fall. The band director should have made his ass run 15 laps for that fuck-up!

full body arch my ass...I'm a band head so there are so many fuck ups in this clip its not even funny except for the DM falling. They would be better if they used a tuner...In my opionion that was horrible.
