I was a truck driver and I have to say that all of us have that kind of crazy moments on the road (maybe not exactly that kind), The guy is obviously a good straight driver and, but in case that the car on front of him suddenly stops, he will have a very hard time controlling the vehicle. 80% chance of collision. Truck drivers do stuff like this. If personally witness a friend of mine driving his volvo along the M8 (UK) well making a cup of tea with the kettle in the back. He is still in full control of the vehicle and can jump back to the seat in half a second and it is probably safer than the boredom caused by driving for upwards of 6 hours straight on a motorway.

It doesn't matter whether or not he's fully in control while he's doing this. what he's doing is far more illegal than talking on a phone while driving (ie. Not wearing a seatbelt, and to state the obvious, standing and DANCING on his damn seat), meaning he should be given a lengthy ban from driving, and a possible permanent ban from driving HGV's.

I was once thumbing for a lift and this Ukranian Agency truck driver stopped and gave me a lift from Bedford to Cambridge, his truck was de-limited, 10ton Actros doing 45mph straightlined over a roundabout, he had no seatbelt on, his truck touched 70mph on the long straights.......although i like speed and fast cars etc, I felt glad to get home!!!
