Ahmadinejad never said he was going to hurt anyone.
He did say, however, that the Israeli fascist regime would disappear from the pages of time. That's a big difference.
It's one thing to disempower a foreign nation's system of government (which the U.S. does on a regular basis), and another to hurt civilians.
Ahmadinejad has expressed his intention that the world dismantle the most dangerous, violent government in the world -- Israel's zionazi regime. That would save the Jews and Palestinians.

This guy definitely underestimates Israels strength. It's worth noting Israels defense budget is almost twice as much as that of Iran, and it's current armed forces consist over twice as many soldiers due to conscription. Israel could certainly wage a costly war for Iran. Rather than painting a picture of overconfidence, Iran would be better to paint a picture of victimization. Use Israels greatest weapon against them.

@SpinCage You're missing the point here. Iran is not trying to destroy Israel. It wants to be viewed among the Arabs as a country that is fighting for the Arab or Palestinian cause. It's to divert the attention away from internal issues such as the growing frustration among the Iranian people, many of whom are below the age of 30. The leadership is more concerned about its power. Therefore, it will confuse, mislead, divert, and distract. In order to hold on to power, an "enemy" is needed.
