So kanns gehen!
What a great version of my music! the second great lapsteel version. Would it trouble you to call it by it's name? "das Loch in der Banana" and I'd be honored if you post it on my "Hole in the Banana Page" Truly great version. Klaus
@MartinGross would be so good if you posted it as a response on my channel...an honor, it really is a great version, especially the added "tail" to the "Abgang" if you know what I mean. Wanna learn that part! lol gruesse Klaus
What were you doing when you were mashing on the strings above the bridge at the very end of the song?? You are a world class steel man!! I envy you for your talent!! You're Great!! I can't wait for you to do Flatt Lonesome!!!
that sound is truly amazing your style is brilliant, and that's what every player should try to achieve there own style, you have got that and much more well done, pimple22 is amazed and blown away by your magic on that amazing sounding instrument.
LOL, YOUR title sounds MUCH better than the orginal title! If my mind serves me right, it is called " das Loch in der Banane" ( the hole in the banana...) and is played by Klaus Weiland. your version is cool though!
Herr Gross, I just bought my first resophonic guitar, a 1935 square neck...while surfing for some lessons on YouTube, instead I find this incredible body of work that you have made available to the world! Thank you!
I just read all of the comments and found your explanation of the harmony. So you don't need to reply to my previous question. Thanks again for your videos. I have emailed your site to a friend who plays Dobro.
ahahah man uve inspired me... ive gotta learn how to play this stuff... its amazing!!
gotta get me one of those guitars first... they cost a bomb lol gonna have to save up my money + break the bank lol... i need advice on what to get coz i dont have a clue...
he aint got nothin on jerry douglas though.. jerry douglas is the master!! i can play this tune in D and G tuning i dont care for G since i learned to tune in D.. dont get me wrong he is good.. but he's no douglas lol.
that was fantastic . what a gift from god you have . im a guitarist and i have played for 28 years . and that tune you played .......you played it from the heart .
this composition by Klaus Weiland, originaly a ballad for acoustic guitar, is called "das Loch in der Banane". I´ve rearranged it slightly and play it here on the Scheerhorn in D tuning. After one third of the tune I also added a harmonie line witch is played with the Meredith guitar.
Beautifull!!

is it two tracks with dobro? the last note sounds like a steel guitar sliding up somewhere between the notes of the dobro!?
once again,,, amazing song, the calmness it brings!

yes there are two tracks with the dobro. That last note that sounds like a steel guitar is on the other track( not visibly )
