  • What if the horse rears or trys to hurt you when you do that ?

  • 0:58 lol

  • haha um. if the horse doesnt kick you it might work.

  • Lols

    Lady: Ahh SHoo

    Horse: Im scared ahh

  • I tried that and she rear and knoked my horse hat LOL!!!!!!

  • horses are a lot like dogs lol!

  • Some horses react differently to this method, some will kick out, rear or bolt away or at you. Always be mindfull of this but always be the higher horse, if the horse finds fear he will try and be the higher horse. This method will work with most horses, and you should always encourage atleast 3 feet personal space. If your nervous about doing this in the paddock try over the fence and see how he reacts. All horses have their own personality so respect that like you would want them to respect u.

  • @animalwisperer Exactly! Two rear hooves in the face can happen quickly!

  • @hyperfocus2011 dont I know that :P

  • hahah lead ropes flying in circles work too(; If your horse doesnt spook at your waving your hands hahaha

  • if I do that with my horse he kicks me!!!!!!!

  • @TheLiesa123 then you need to smack him and tell him thats not okay

  • Its not mean people, a horse needs to learn that people need space, if it trys to do that when other horses and doesnt know too back off when they tell him too, he could get hurt!and Its not like the horse will hate you forever if its your horse your telling to back off, every animals and every person need some discipline in their life :D

  • i got my horse to learn the comand "back" and thus when I tell him that he backs off or i can use it in any other situation that I may desire him to walk backwards. but thats a little more cmplicated in training and takes (sometimes) a lot of time to teach them that (depending on the horses ability to pick up new things). Nice videos tho,i have been watching some of them.

  • Thankyou very much for your videos, they are extremely helpful!xxx

  • its not mean its called earning respect

  • shes not talking about making your OWN horse respect your space, shes talking about making someone ELSES horse respect your space.

  • When you see the horse flintch its not like omg your hurting me your so mean to me *horse sobs in the corner* your simply telling the horse you dont want him in your personal space. When you get to know him to be its earned and respected and then its your choice if u want to let them in. horses should have recognition of your space so they do not ram you over and get a bad habit

  • im gettting a horse soon and im currently working at a stable with my friend and she just nudges the hindquarters and it seems to work fine. is that a good way to do it?

  • lol that last bit at 1:01 is a great way to get yourself knocked in the head with a back hoof.

  • a shootgun workes to

  • this will answer questions for someone new to stable work and is just hired to muck stalls.

  • thats so mean

  • thats terrible to do. that horse does not respect you and your horse shouldnt be scared of you like that. your horse should trust and respect not be afraid. also thats a good way to get bucked off a horse when your riding him. plus you should be waving your arms and making loud noises to DESENSATIZE not to make them scared. a horse that is scared of that can not stand tied either..

  • Please Be Aware this will not always work! I was being crowded by a fresh off the track TB gelding, and He come at me with intension to bite, I did what is said in your other movie to smack, or throws hands up and make noise, It made him more angry! and he started rearing and comming at me! I had to grab a lunge whip incase and put another horse inbetween us! I now DONT go in with horses i dont know!

  • the horse keeps coming back so obviosly its not that scared of her.. and its not like you do that whenver only when the horse starts getting in your space. it comes in handy when all the horses try to follow you out of the pasture

  • Good way to make your horse head shy ; how are you going to reach up and put a head collar on when he doesn't know the difference ? Note, the horse will only back away like that if you have already trained him by hitting him. An untrained youngster may rear up and strike out when you raise your arms. .

  • Its not mean, its necessary. That way they learn to respect you. After all, its not like she's physically injuring him.

  • REally!!! For a great bond between a rider and horse is respect and trust. Respet comes first, then trust. The horse has to know that you are the boss, without hurting them, ans then you gain thier trust because you seen like a good herd leader( in horse terms)

  • @luckysnoopy7 exactly!

  • I agree with luckysnoopy7.

I've had multiple horses try and get out when I was bringing a horse out of the paddock. do anything you can to get them from getting out and getting hurt. even pick up a small rock and throw it towards them or use the end of the lead rope to scare them away. Horses are fraidie cats when it comes to stuff they don't like. and they're sorta numb at times, but this girl did nothing to hurt the horse (refering to the video) and the horse doesn't care.

  • your safety comes first!
