My score is really "in the tank". I'm 45, have NO debts, and am worth 1/2 million. My insurance rates have NOT gone up. I pay cash for everything. My score went from 829 to ZERO in the last 3 years! Dave Ramsey said on his show that our goal should be a score of ZERO! And yes, a person CAN get a major loan with a 0 score, according to Dave. Pay off all debts, close ALL accts, and wait 6 months & you'll be at ZERO. I tell people to drive a "beater w/a heater" & rent. THEN move up w cash!
