sweet, stumbled upon this by mistake. completely forgot about this game. it was one of my favourites. i never had these sound effects though, must be the sound source or soundblaster or something

Negatives are: I can only run this on my old desktop: the laptops have no ports to insert the mini-floppies to install the 3 parts. Also my desktop lacked sound drivers, so I couldn't get most of the sounds. Some levels were much harder than others, and involved problem solving was not uncommon. (flub these and finishing & exitting the level would not be possible). Each part ends in a cliffhanger.

I have this game and find some levels much harder than others. The 1st level is fun, but the 2nd one involves climbing up & down dead trees, catching flying broomsticks and platform jumping high in the sky. Shoot every blood-spewing skull and you get a bonus ! Free every pet and the door to the next level opens. You also get to fight a monstrous duplicate who does every move opposite from yours. Also progress reports from Count Chuck. The Starry Skies level is the greatest !

Monster Bash is one of those rare few games where the PC Speaker sound effects are as good as the Sound Blaster ones. I love the PC Speaker one for the skulls.
