Generally when some one puts a jet engine in the car they use it for THRUST and not to actually power the wheels.. The spool up on that thing alone kills any thoughts of acceleration, I'd say this thing is impractical, under performing and totally unsafe. You'd be better off in that jet powered dragster that nearly killed Richard Hammond.
@Sigrafix I believe the Ford Motor company produced a car with a turbine engine in it back in the 50s or 60s, maybe later. The points you bring up are exactly what made that turbine powered car a complete failure.

Why didn't they interview the designer/constructer of this "project".
What good are answers like 'I think so' and 'I believe....' and 'I'm not sure, but'...
This guy doen't know a think for sure about this car.

"You can't run 6000rpm thru a drive shaft" Ummm....yes you can. In a typical 5-speed tranny, 4th gear is 1:1.
