@yatyu1992 I compress/encode the video in VirtualDub. This video was encoded with the ffdshow video codec, mp4 single pass quality set at 100. This video was HUGE though (520 MB, ouch). My other video (phys exo) was encoded with the Xvid MP4 codec, single pass quantizer 8, that one is nearly the same quality and is only about 160 MB. Audio is compressed to MP3.

I play in Window Mode, and record with FRAPS at full-size 60 FPS, sync on.

@nightmareshadowblade All I really remember is that I had the level 25 Purple Katana, I think it was Kargon's Chisakatana or something? As for armor and accessories, I never spent a lot on them, but I kept them up to date, so probably all level 25 Blue armor. The main reason I did so much damage is just because I was always fighting inside of Kazan and Bremen, of course.

Yeah, just try to make use of it. If you watch some pro Korean PvP vids, you'll see they use it right after the 3rd hit of a normal combo to a grounded opponent and it kind of picks them up off the ground for a combo finisher. Try practicing it sometime. I'm not sure if you need attack speed + avs or a certain weapon to do it though.

It's in the options menu, there is a checkbox for them. I haven't played DFO in months though so unfortunately I can't really be any more specific than that.

If you're like me you might find the default F1 - F6 hotkeys pretty much unusable, you can change them in the key bindings window, which should be somewhere in the settings as well.

Ghost Slash does more damage, so I'd suggest most points in it. Get Moon Slash to 5 to get the cancel.

actually moon slash aint so good on high lv dungeoning, sure it should be at least lvled till 5 or something for the full moon slash, but at higher lvs you will be nuking everything with different stuff.

so it basically deserves a lot of lvs for PvP, but for PvE it shouldve leaved around 5 or 10

cause moon slash cancel isn't really neccessary as you will only use x when you do an upward slash which sets up for MLS along with other skills. MLS is also for approaches, so you will never be in a situation where MLS will be the better choice instead of upward.

I have a question do all soul benders need to add kazan cause i left mine at lvl 5+2 to make it 7, I use my sp for aerial chain and stuff. I dont have mountainous leap and triple slash and backstep

It's up to you. It's great for parties and even solo it boosts your damage a lot, but you could certainly make a build with it at level 5. Tell me how that goes later on if you decide to do that.

Honestly in PvP against good aggressive players (esp fighters and battlemages), I hardly have time to use many buffs or ghosts, so it very well may be more effective to use those points for things like ghost slash or moonlight slash instead.

Yes, when you change jobs at level 18 all of your skills are reset and you get all of the SP back, so feel free to try out whatever skills you like before job change.

Anyways, I just grinded in Castellan's Chamber for all of my characters during that level. If you can solo King's Road it should go pretty fast.

And my Soul Bender is level 40 now :D

Definitely cloth, though I guess you could wear heavy armor for awhile in the lower levels if you wanted to mainly use normal attacks/upward slash/etc. to level.

I'd say PvE focused, but I got some things specifically for PvP. I basically just left ghost slash and moonlight slash at level 5, and maxed all my ghosts/buffs/high level attack skills. I also maxed Katana Mastery and got one point in almost all of the basic slayer skills: Neutral Wave, Wave Wheel, Upper Slash 5 + Cancel, Triple Slash, Mountainous Wheel, and Gore Cross. I use all of those regularly in PvP except Mountainous Wheel which is used rather sparingly.

You could do a lot more damage than me if you leveled up ghost slash, Mine is only at level 5 because my build is going to focus on buffs/ghosts/higher lvl attack skills.

Yes, but there is a catch. Normally, Moonlight Slash only has those first two hits. At level 25, Soul Bender can learn a passive called Fullmoon Slash that lets him add the third orange hit.

It's a pretty good skill, especially in PvP because the damage isn't reduced. Same as Ghost Slash.

Right now I'm a level 19 soul bender and my moonlight slash seems to kinda suck, with full moon that you have it doesn't really look that much better. Aside from not having damaged reduced during PvP are there anything else good about it that my nooby eyes can't see?

It's not really an amazing skill... it just does decent magic damage, and is one of the Soul Bender's only two available attack skills until level 35 when they get Tombstone.

It's not bad though, it does about 340% magic damage total at level 5 and hits a pretty big area.

Overall, you probably won't really like your Soul Bender until at least level 25, Ghost Slash Drive and Fullmoon make it more fun, but still lackluster... Saya at 30 is nice, and it takes off at 35 with Tombstone... I hope.

Whether it will be fun or not for you I can't say, it's a strange class only having two attack skills for a long time, that aren't extremely powerful and guzzle a lot of mana. For me it got more fun though, yes.

I recommend Katanas, they have more range and faster attack speed, and they give boosts to Soul Bender skills. Katana Mastery is up to you, 200 skill points for 20% more weapon atk/matk, and 5% hit rate. I'm maxing it personally, but maybe you'd rather put the skill points elsewhere.

Yeah, it's a pretty long level. Level 23, 26, and 31 are the worst grind levels I've experienced so far, though 26 takes the cake... I find Behemoth a bit more entertaining than Sky Tower, so it's not as bad.

lol i personally think its harder for people to level in sky tower because they are huge maps with very hard bosses and also, people dont want to do full runs. When ur in behemoth u notice the difference between full and boss rush runs...about 30kexp versus like 140k exp for full run

If you're talking about holding/charging Ghost Slash, you get a skill at level 25 called Ghost Slash Drive that lets you charge it. On top of doing more damage, it does that second hit where it unleashes the last ghost you summoned and has a special effect based on which one it was.

Right before I did it I summoned Kazan and Bremen though, maybe that's what you were referring to since you mentioned the cast bar...?
