I would suggest using a long skewer to keep the cupcakes stacked while frosting then you can easily pull them out and cover the hole with the topping.

The toothpick made me a little nervous, a friend of mine actually bit into a sandwich that had a toothpick "hidden" and impaled the roof of his mouth. :( Maybe a little "warning" beside the tray of cupcakes when you serve them? Just a suggestion. :) Love your videos and all your ideas!

@baxtersmomma I agree, toothpicks are certainly not the very best thing to put inside of food. What I should have done was put the pieces together, skim coat and then thoroughly chill to make it stable enough to finish frosting.

Can you stick a long skewer instead on the toothpick? so that the top part of the skewer sticks out so that you can actually pluck them out after you ice it?

and can you make a "candy melting wafer" by adding food colouring to white chocolate? I know it doesn't make sense.. but i think that's the only way to have a fake version one... LOL

OMG, my husband and I got married last november in a ceremony for 4 people (including ourselves and our witnesses) in our home, and our wedding cake was a the same cupcake tiered wedding cake thing. it was in black and white and really cute. We also used small ribbon-flowers on them. And yes, we ate the silver ball things. Do you?

Silver balls are edible in new zealand, they are hard, but very edible.

oh its so pretty just a suggestion u could turn the smaller cupcake upside down so it gives u a flat top to ice maybe i can see a lot of other cupcakes like a fountain cupcake a michelen man cupcake a top hat cupcake if u iced it black or any sort of hat if u cut the smaller cupcake in half

but the wedding cake is very pretty it would be pretty in pink too or ANY colours

Those 'silver balls' are called coke balls here where I live in Canada. They're called coke balls cause you put them in your mouth and suck them and they taste like coke. So they are edible, and come in different sizes. :)
