This is the most unauthentic recipe I have seen so far. You might as well add green dye to really screw it up all the way. Lemon juice in key lime pie? NEVER! Peruvian limes? NEVER! This is crap.
This recipe is great!!!!!!! It is so delicious and so easy! A quicker way to do it is to make individual ones. All you do is, instead of using a pie plate use a cupcake tray.

No, I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no substitute for graham cracker crust, nor Key limes (regular limes were used in this recipe, but they can't match they flavor of the actual Key lime).
Well, I guess the rest of the recipe is alright, though. However, if you want the real deal, you have to go to Key West! lol
Go easy on her. Sometimes you have to work with what's available. That's how the United States came up with their own versions of many dishes, like pizza. Immigrants had to improvise because they couldn't get the ingredients that were available in their old country.
@newguy90 The Italians still mostly have cheese and tomato sauce on their " pizza ".They don't add meat to theirs like we do.Meat in the old days was very expensive.
@iDansWorld I've been to Key West and tasted two of the pies.They were too sour and tart and I love sour things.I prefer my own version of the pie which is just 4 ingredients like the original K W pie has.I do add lime rind to my pie along with a drop of green food coloring.
I have no problem with substituting the digestives, but that look like a pretty crappy key lime pie altogether.
