We really lucked out on our trip...We located my great aunt's old house 7 miles north and no one was there, but a curious neighbor told that the owner rents out the house and gave us his number! We called him in JAX and after one night in the Holiday Inn, we spent the next six nights in my aunt's home on the BEACH for ONLY $60 a night! This was in 1994. But, there were LOTS of budget, beachfront motels. Nothing beats a private home though! Look into beach home rentals!
