  • The sad thing is that this was the last TV special that was done with the original group. They disbanded shortly after the special wrapped.

  • Wish this 69 TV Special come to DVD. Thanks for posting this.

  • This man is soo multi talented! Sitting here listening to him sing that song is enough to make you melt! I love Herb Alpert! He is HOT!!!

  • what a treat..........simply wonderful

  • What a treat it is to see "real" musicians playing "real" music. The instumental songs of the 60's have a certain "class" that many modern performers lack. Its a pleasure to relive my early years and hear these precious tunes again. Thanks for posting!!!!

  • Ningun instrumentista en la historia hizo lo que Herb,su creatividad, transmitir en su actuacion no solo con el instrumento,su sencibilidad y seduccion al mismo tiempo lo convierten en unico.

  • This videoclip is one of the few with TJB "on live " Mr. Alpert and Mr. Kalash played Benge Chicago trumpets in this video.

  • I love Herb Alpert song. Terrific.. Thanks!!

    Great Video..

  • Please, someone, put the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass specials on DVD as soon as possible!

  • Are this videos going to be available on DVD some time in the future?

  • Anybody know the name of the song played during the credits? Don't recall this on any of the albums.

  • I don't recall any of the names but they are all on "The Brass Are Coming" album.

  • "The Sea Is My Soil" from the album "Warm".

The Brass Are Comin' opened with Herb walking along Malibu Beach with this tune playing before the Brass galloped onto the scene.

A very big THANK YOU to thegoochman for these incredible clips. I have portions of this show on audio tape from the original airing on October 29, 1969, but these postings are my first opportunity at actually seeing the associated video.

(It's almost like being able to see for the first time.)

  • Thanks for posting this clip from The Brass Are Comin'. As a kid I was a huge fan of Herb and the TJB (and still am) and I've wanted to see the group's late 60s specials again for some time.
