Let's be honest, how many movies are better than the books they are derived from...really?not much!

Secondly who are these people??? This show stars, Francois Cluzet, Kristin Scott Thomas, Natalie Baye and was directed by an accomplished French actor, who is now directing. Go look these people up and have a lil respect. This movie was a major sleeper hit (despite being foreign and in a different language) for a reason. It was a damn good movie! Try the movie and like it, cause u will!

it is nos because you dont know 'those" people that they are not good ... the cast of this movie is impressive as it some of france best actors ,,, given that the director is french it makes sense that he chooses some french actor ... hollywood bought the right of the movie but at some poitn they didnt go with it. And by the way this movie is way more better than the shitty adaption of the Da Vinci code with the great Tom Hanks ....

My boyfriend and I watched this movie on Valentines Day and it was perfect. It is above all I think a love story and a beautiful one at that. there is a really moving scene using U2's with our without you.....so awesome.

hahaha it's funny how people may chose not to watch a film simply because it's subtitled. I can't even number the amazing movies you guyz are missing out on. I had a buddy who wouldn't watch amelie simply cause it was in French. It took me a week to get him to watch it and he loved it :P

I read the book. I thought it was pretty cool book but not that fabilous story. I remembered every sence i saw in a movie as I imaginated when I read a book. Somehow, I cannot remember the end! I hate when they make trailers for foreign films and make it look like the film is in english. when I went to see pan's labryinth people were leaving the theatre because they didn't know it was in spanish. i think it is ridiculous that some people can't stand watching movies with subtitles but i also don't blame them since a lot of the American trailers for the films trick audiences into seeeing the movie that they don't know is in a different language.

All it would take is a google search on the movie or to read a review, many foreign language movies such as this one and pans labyrinth tell the stories perfectly without understanding the language, anyways it ne le dis a personne "tell no one" is an amazing film and you dont even need the subtitles to follow the story.

Wow, I just did the same. I read the book in two days (really could be done in one sitting, it grabs you that much), just to see the film. The only problem is that I live in Vegas, a city devoid of any kind of real culture. So, we rarely get movies like this one. Guess I'll wait for the dvd.
