I am not a fan of Marilyn Manson, and I am a very big fan of My Chemical Romance. But I do think you kind of misrepresented MCR. As adorkable as Gerard and Ray and all them are, they're not exactly bubbles of sunshine and light all the time. Some of their lyrics are pretty dark. I'm thinking of 'Mama'. But then again, MCR has Danger Days, which pretty much makes me want to smile as a whole. I think the difference, besides the messages, is that MCR doesn't depend on darkness as their image.

Desolation Row was originally by Bob Dylan, and Under Pressure(the one they did with The Used) is actually by Queen. I honestly cannot believe that people are still arguing about this. I've been listening to both Manson and MCR since I was 12-13, and half of the facts about both bands in this are WRONG. I like both bands, but I personally think that Marilyn Manson is a far more intelligent and versatile musician than MCR is. both bands have the same "be yourself" type of message. the biggest difference is that MM has more to say, is bolder about saying it, is more artistic, more clever, and more complex. He doesnt burn crosses to be 'evil', he does it to make a statement about religion. just because MCR is more cute and socially acceptable doesnt make them a better influence. Manson encourages people to think for themselves instead of being brainwashed by religion, TV, government, or anything else.

Honestly I'm a fan of MCR myself and I think you're being ridiculous. You can't say that MCR doesn't copy songs because they do. Desolation Row was originally by Bob Dylan, and Under Pressure(the one they did with The Used) is actually by Queen. Also comparing the bands based on their image and integrity is not as important as you make it sound. The whole point of a band is the music, and that's how it should be. I like MCR wayyyyy better but Marylin Manson is still a great band.

I honestly cannot believe that people are still arguing about this. I've been listening to both Manson and MCR since I was 12-13, and half of the facts about both bands in this are WRONG. I like both bands, but I personally think that Marilyn Manson is a far more intelligent and versatile musician than MCR is. This video makes him look like a sick freak (especially next to MCR's cuteness), which is anything but true. Manson has been a far more positive influence on me than MCR EVER was.

I think you need to learn how to spell.
You cannot judge in a Manson V MCR war if you do not listen to both of them. The whole point of Manson saying 'fight fight fiight' is that it is done in a sarcastic way - there was the whole kerfuffle over the Columbine Massacre.
I love both Manson and MCR. I just can't listen to MCR anymore cause I get depressed when I listen to that, because I'm empathetic.
