This happens at my league. The pinsetter malfunctions and drops the sweeper in the middle of the ball's journey to the pins, the ball hits the sweeper and stops, the pinsette picks up the pins, sweeper does its thing and hits the ball, the ball returns to the bowler, everything's messed up, employees need to be called, ten minutes later everything's back to normal... I know what this is like.
