Your style jams. Can you get your drummer to tape you doing another "Bass Technique"- where you expand on this video from 1:01 on to the end... just a few more minutes is good. It is one of the funkiest and simplest riffs i have ever heard. Just do even one more minute would be cool too.
He's just using double thump techniques. There's quite a few videos here on youtube explaining it. Some people do it by using their thumb and going up and down but he does it with a double pluck as one of the guys were asking in the vid.
nice technique man, I use some stuff of ur technique, ummmh, have U heard 'bout Alex Moran?? cuz, ur technnique seems to his technique, well, it's the same technique of Wooten, but he aplies that technique with his kinda stuff....
again, nice, I like ur bass, I'm totally in love of those basses, I've played with a few ones, and I'm waitin' for mine.....sure!

Rite on man. I'm over here in the bay. I practiced mostly Jaco stuff and I play mostly natural minor and minor pentatonic scales.

From the video I have understood he use this sequence: thumb-pluck-pluck-thumb.
This is more and more confortable respect to using the thumb up and down, consuming the nail..

I pluck with 2. Index and middle. I saw some like 8 year old kid doin it at guitar center and went home and worked on it.
