I like the Ka-52 Hokum B more! Two pilots setting next to each other! actually a pilot and a navigator! makes it more comfortable and easier to fly! Still though, flying such a complicated piece of art all alone is a damn challenge! The Ka-52 is rather expensive so the Russians decided not to produce it any more :( they only have 10 units, I think and about 750 Ka-50 Tiger/Black Sharks! The best combat helicopter in the world!

I just got this and it is bloody hard to remember it all but you do pick it up faster then you think you will and it is very good been playing as much as possible but I have vista so can't play all of the campaigns which sucks
The thing about this sim is that in realistic mode it's a real challenge to manage all the systems, attack targets, and make sure you don't lose control.
Now doing this in the real thing, with people shooting at you, etc. is mind boggling. 2 seaters (Mi-28, Mi-24, AH-64, Ka-52, AH-1) have division of labor so it's not as overwhelming for the pilot and gunner.
Arma Is a Great game but this game was designed to be a Military Flight Sim. So of course its gonna be better than the Arma Flying part. I will try this once the price goes down.(hate paying 50$ for something i might not play a week)

I can't imagine what kind of campaign scenario this game could have, seeing as how most russian military operations consist of going into former bloc countries and killing/robbing/raping civilians.
I have laptop 2,2 Ghz , 2 gb ram, nvidia 8600 256m. All deatils medium and sometimes, but, really sametimes is slowing down when u blow up something very close. And its version 1.0 and so far after many hr game, working fine without any bugs.

Everything you see in the video was recorded by me, and only me. I am part of the beta team so i have access to the beta version of Black Shark. I make whatever scene i want, i fly the mission, and then i save the flown mission as a "track file". Now this works sorta like a "replay", so i can watch my mission from any angle i want. And i use Fraps for recording. :)
This game is intense. It looks like a deep understanding of a large number of complicated systems will be necessary to get any enjoyment out of this highly realistic simulation at all. The learning curve is bound to be extremely steep and the casual gamer will be lost, looking for the arcade-style controls and interfaces that dominate the flight-sim market.
I've been waiting for a game like this* for a very long time! Bring it on!

Um, sorry, but the KA-50 is actually smaller and stealthier. It only seats one, which reduces overall side and weight, and it lacks a tial rotor as well.

The AH-64 Apache is a Addon in development for DCS and they are planning it to be dual controlled.
And also The US military is already using DCS Blackshark with the A-10C addon.That A-10C is the next Addon in release list

The apache does weigh more, produces more horizontal thrust but less vertical thrust, and is stealthier, especially from head-on.
LONGBOW increases the capability of the Apache by huge margins. If the KA 50 had one, it would be untouchable.
