can someone tell me why is there all this fuss about shows being posted on Youtube at the end of the season when there are other year's shows still posted?

@thestared i saw that at boa super regionals =) honestly i think you should have won. i thought bell won because they had a patriotic show but its cool
So From about 5:50 to the end this show just went about Ten steps up from its already high level of performance!!!!! Gosh this band is so good. What are yall rehearsals like?? Because my bands rehearsals are pretty lengthy and focused at all times and we are not even near yalls level!!!
This is DEFFF!!!! the work of AMANDA K DRINKWATER!!!! lol I was a former student of her's at leander Highschool 99-2003... (she left in 02) but you can can really see her touch on the show!
i think the props are a really smart way to teach people who are new at learning drill, how to learn their dots and not have the stress of marching an invidual spot in their first year:)
This is so refreshing,,,,a large and obviously talented band program not doing what most other BOA type bands do (rehash drum corps charts). Their musical originality and excellence is heavenly,,,,,,,Thanks for not being like the rest.
I was in Marcus High School Band, Graduated in 2005. They get better year after year. Amazing show!! They have always done sets from slow to fast. Love the props. This was the first time to see the 2009 Show. I got out of band my Senior year due to the fact I was in JROTC! Wish I stayed in the band. Glad they are getting to top and staying at the top. I give all hands down to Ms. Drinkwater, she is best band director there is.
I remember in nationals when we were waiting outside in lines to go inside for the announcments of the winners, there was this really cool trumpet named Austin from Marcus... I hope i see him next year....I think he was a junior this year
despite my comment, thanks for all the good comments, this is my first [senior] year in texas band - i moved from mississippi - and i never even imagined seeing this level of artistry in texas, much less be in a great band....and im not being stuck up, i got really scared at BOA and all the competitions cause ALL the texas bands are amazing...despite the rankings....great year EVERYONE

@djmikeaaronr I remember hearing that at state. My friend and I were listening, and we heard a double reed pop out of the ensemble. I was all like, "Uh... is that a bassoon, or a insanely horrible clarinet?" lol...

Im from TWCP Cavilier band, and all I wanna say is, that they are a good band, I just REALLY HATED their show, to me it seemed like a GIANT DISNEY LOVE SCENE but its another story yes, but it all just seems like it, wasn't really interesting to me :p
Yeah - got 2 friends in the marcus band. Used to raz them about all the props and stuff - then they explained why they have em. You ever notice they don't have a line of alternates on the sidelines? Every eligible band member has a job on the field. Pretty cool.
hey im a trumpet in the Haltom High School marching band I just want to say you guys look amazing! I am glad you guys made 1st good luck, and see you on the feild next year =)

I was in Marcus High School Band, Graduated in 2005. They get better year after year. Amazing show!! They have always done sets from slow to fast. Love the props. this show was ok but i dont see how it beat LD bell's show.there show was by far better and not cheesey like most of Marcus's shows .
