The term "Old School" refers to 70s and early 80s HipHop which has a different sound then mid to late 80s HipHop. Old School HipHop sounds the way it sounds due to the technology that was available at the time. At the beginning it was just turntables or actual instruments if youre talking about 70s. By the 90s someone making HipHop could do anything they could thing of.
