This 'pilot' seems to be taking it pretty easy--or is the lack of sensation of speed just a camera illusion? Why the low groove, and why feather-foot it through the comically large curves?
Beyond these comments, I am intrigued by this bike and would love to own one. I'd need pleny of performance, and would have zero interest in E-power.
Why is the economy only in the 50's? I get that with my V-strom and its aerodynamics are terrible. This should do in the 70's or better I'd guess.
@jmshaw357 Regarding the 'seemingly' slow speed (probably 110 mph), not only were these my first few laps on MIS, but the MIS officials had asked me to stay low, because the NASCAR pace cars were running (and even stopping on) the high groove --- they wanted to make sure we didn't have any accidents. As the day went on, I got more comfortable on the track, my speed picked up to 130mph, and I ran a much higher line if pace cars weren't stopped there. Google MonotracerUSA for more info.
@gck86 If Singapore will accept E.U. and/or U.S. safety standards for certification & licensing, we will happily ship you one (since you said "E" Tracer, I assume you meant the electric version of the MonoTracer, thus there should not be any "emissions" issues...). If you are not already on my MonoTracer Update e-mail list, send my your e-mail address and I will keep you posted of further MonoTracer developments. Google 'MonoTracer USA' to sign-up for newsletter.
@fpskirk You deploy the "landing gear" when you come to a stop, OR if you are in bumper-to-bumper traffic & just want to roll along without having to balance the vehicle. The "landing gear" is controlled by the driver, and can be deployed once the vehicle is below 15 miles per hour. They can be retracted once the vehicle is moving at 2 mph or more.
@MrBOB39 55 mpg highway; clutch with a pre-selector switch tied-in with an electronic shifter; have fit a guy 6'-4" and about 230 lbs in the back seat, but it is somewhat "tight" at that point. Very comfortable and roomy for 6'1 or less; About same comfort level as any sports car; The 'leaning' aspect of the MonoTracer is the best part about it. If feels like you are flying as you go through corners on smooth road; Yes, you are right, it IS blast to drive....
Well, they are priced in Euros since that is what the manufacture as to pay for parts and labor in. The current base price is 60,000 euros, which puts it over $80k, due to the declining value of the dollar.... Still cheaper than many other high-performance 2-seaters, and it can do something that the others can't do.... lean through the corners.....
They also call that "PIO" -- Pilot Induced Oscillation.... Since this video was of my first few laps on the big-banked-oval, I was probably still a little "tense", thus was a little too heavy on the controls. Also, some of the NASCAR guys in attendence said that the wind buffets between the grandstands so much, that it causes even the big NASCAR cars to move around. As the day went on, and I became more comfortable on the track, the "oscillation" was much less.
how much that costs?

A couple of questions if i may...
How do you find the MPG on that ?
Is it semi auto or how is it shifted ?
How is the head and Leg room on it ?
How comfortable is it for extended rides ?
How do you like the handling of it ?
Now...It looks like it is a Blast to drive..

It seems to exhibit a rolling or wandering at high speed on the straights. In an airplane those are called dutch rolls.
