  • how long does it last? does it revert back easily with humidity? and how difficult is it for my hair to look curly again after i wash it out? I've been natural for like 4 yrs, but this would be my first dominican blow out.

  • Blow outs are so much better than perms. I'm natural and have trouble keeping my hair straight and it's always perfect with a blow out.

  • dominican blow outs are the best! i agreee

  • Do these women know not to fight a shark or a marlin?

  • my mom is natural and wants to get her hair done...I heard of a Dominican Blowout but will that still allow her to remain natural??

  • @AllyXandria86 yes, she will still be natural. But as always, take precaution with heat as it can damage her curl pattern. I'm natural and I get Dominican Blowout.

  • is a domican blow out like a relaxer without the harsh chemicals and does your hair stay like that if you have natural african american hair dying to know

  • where did you get it done?

  • what did your hair look like before you got it done

  • Very beautiful.

  • The colonels secret herbs and oils

  • Are you natural or transitioning or relaxed? Is this blow out a type of straightening system?

  • what do u mean by post relaxer?.

  • Thanks for the video response, I always loved your videos.

and your hair is fantastic. God bless!!

  • u are one of the most beautiful women i have ever seen!!

THAT SMILE..and ur hair looks amazing :)

  • you look like selita

  • Gorgeous results, looks flat ironed. I bet the stylist used morrocan oil

  • luv Dominican hair dressers

  • Willie Lynch'd

  • i used to get those, my hair would be just like that. it was cool & everything but now i've gone natural & don't regret it :)

  • SASSY SWAG SILK DOOBIE HEAD WRAPS

  • You are gorgeous! What does blowout mean?

  • Your hair looks really nice.

  • Hello Tyra lol

  • you look like tryaa banks

  • Thanks for the olive oil hair spray reminder, it as in my cabinet and I didn't realize that it as just the thing i needed to use after my relaxer yesterday. I didn't realize it actually is non-greasy. My scalp feels as if its healing now. My hair was dry and it felt as if it were suffering, lol. I was reluctant to use anything at first afraid that it would of weighed down my hair. Thanks, lol.

  • I love your voice, you're very articulate - almost like a newsreader or something! Hair's nice too.

  • Gorgeous. Oh my goodness.

It's too bad I live in such a small town-- there aren't any Dominican salons anywhere around here. I have to figure out how to do it on my own, I suppose. Do you have a video with a do-it-yourself blowout tutorial?

Thank you for this great video!

  • Oh that pretty!

  • My hair always looks like that when i leave the salon..but what is a dominican blow out.

  • pretty! :)

  • Dominicans R tha best Doinq Hair.....Im Proud toh b Dominican

  • you have very lovely teeth

  • da mah u look reall good hit me up im dominican 2

  • I'm thinking of trying the dominican blowout after my hair grows back out again. Both you and your hair are gorgeous! SN: I happened to look at your screenname and laughed because my name was supposed to be Krystal Rose!

  • It looks nice. I must find one of these shops!

  • I'M dominican and I love our blowout except that theres a lot of manipulation on the hair so its not as healthy as you think. Though I have to give credit to the fact that we blow dry--dry hair not wet hair. usually use a lightweight oil like fantasia IC or Biosilk.

My healthier take on is to rollerset and air dry, and then use the dominican technique, so I'll go to the salon with rollers in sit under dryer 10 minutes(hair has air dried) and follow up with blow drying and styling.

  • girl you look great i love the way your hair looks!

  • Looks great! But I am wondering, did the steam from the blow dryer burn your scalp? My scalp is so sensitive to steam.

  • you are so pretty and so is your hair! :)

  • hello there!

just thought i take a quick look at you..... yeah this is the one thing i miss about not being in NY those dominican blowouts...mmmmoh my gawd!!! they're awesome!! i wish they would come live here in London!!! I envy ya girl!

  • Just curious to know did this process ever get so hot that it felt like you were getting burned??? I went to a shop and I had a burn on my ear and my head was in pain. I was wondering if it was just the person who did mine or if its normal!! I did love the results though!!!

  • wow! i got a dominican blow out but it didnt come out as shiny as yours. What mousturizer did they use?

  • Wow, my hair gets way straighter when I get one 0_o. Maybe because my hair is naturally pretty straight I don't have a relaxer, do you?

  • i love your hair

  • Hi crystalroselove, congratulation for your videos and Happy New year. what's the difference between a dominican blowout and a normal one at any hairdresser? I live in Spain and haven't found any dominican hairdressers or hairdressers that really know how to work with black hair. Do you think the Domenican blowout will work good on natural hair? It's because i wear my hair natural.

Thanks a lot and keep on coming up with good videos.Blesses

  • i wanna go to your hairstylist!! I live in ky aanndd weeeeeell yea lol i've been going to the same hair stylist since forever & have been gettin a relaxer since 13 & she recently started a new job so a couple months before she left i started doing my own relaxer(olive oil) & would let her do inbetween washes to condition & let her see if out of the box relaxers did ok on my hair & so far its been good but i'd really love to find a hair dresser i trust as much as i did with her

  • Wow--- some people actually don't know about the Dominican blowout! They take it for granted in New York City. Just go to Washing Heights! Dominicans are some of the BEST hairstylists because they understand so many different hair textures. The same is true of Creole hairstylists like Beyonce Knowle's mother. By the way, I don't think oil is used during a blowout because the oil would get so hot that the hair would be damaged. A hair polisher containing silicone adds a final healthy shine,

  • yeah..i think they use a serum..not an oil...

  • @mrsjlong no they actually use oils ; my mother is dominican & to et a blowout serums dont exactly work to much theyre usually found in dominican stores ; since im in ny there are alot that sell them .

  • thanks for replying..i actually wanted to correct myself, but forgot to...because i watched anothe vid and they showed the stylist putting oil on the hair..so i was like :| ...lol...oops..i guess i assumed wrong...but yeah you are right...it was a guess, i wouldnt kno because i have never had this done on my hair....i am natural but never really go to the salon or get my hair straightened...but thanks for shairng your experience, it looks very pretty.

  • I needed this video Lol

    I blow dry,but I don't flat iron,so my hair get puffy.

  • I had to reduce my visits to the Dominicans because it was constantly giving me split ends and I felt ny hair was getting thinner. I prefer to air dry for length retention. I go for touch ups and special occasions, but the results are great!

  • It looks great, very silky very manageable

  • LUV IT!!! & ur really pretty too :)

  • domincan blowout?? i thought you were about to talk about the dominican soccer team getting beat or something......hahahahaha

  • I was wondering if you do something to your hair before and after you exercise and go swimming,

  • yea I would like to know what you do to work out too.

  • omg your hair looks so pretty and healthy... they did a great job

  • What is a Dominican Blowout...and how do I get one in Sun City, CA....

I am relaxed and I want to be able to blow dry my hair at least once a month.

Your hair looks healthy and strong..

I am also on a healthy hair journey just started this week ordered some really good natural products and will use them tonight..

Scared to apply to much heat to my hair but your look good..

Yes If you can find out what she is using and share it with us I would appreciate it..

  • Love the hair girl- they do wonders!

  • Your hair looks wonderful, need more videos please! do you ever do braid outs etc??

  • Thanks mimimason! More videos are on the way! I have done braid outs on my own in the past, and I like the way they turn out. I'll definitely put out my hairstyle videos in the future. :)

  • @crystalroselove your hair is awesome did you ever get a perm from them? and what kind of perm did you use?

  • yesss i love it .. i get one every week. it looks and feels wonderful.

  • Wow how do they get your hair so shiny without weigh down, i am dying to know

  • Before she started blowing out my hair with the blow dryer, I saw the stylist put some type of cream on my roots after she took out the rollers. I know that cream definitely contributed to the shine in my hair. Next time she uses the product, I'll ask what it is and let you guys know. :)

  • @omthomas i think they use cellophane!!! from what i read!!! I thinking of getting a dominican blowout!!! my hair has gone natural for 2 years!!!! this is the best solution for my hair!!!

  • Wow, I Love Your Hair.

  • i love your hair so much....im considering getting a dominican blowout but im not sure how many times i have to go a month to get it done...how many times do you go if you go more than once a month?

  • You can go whenever you want. A dominican blow out isn't anything special. They just wash your hair, set it in rollers, sit you under a dryer, and then blow it out. There's no special product involved.

  • Thanks! I know some people get "wash and sets" at a dominican salon once a week, while others only go when they feel like it. I only go when I feel like it, because I like to do my own version of a dominican blowout at home when I wash my own hair. But I love professional blowouts, particularly when they deep condition my hair. It feels so healthy, and always looks great when I go to the salon.

  • You're too pretty! I love the hair too!!!

  • You're too pretty! I love the hair too!!!

  • You have beautiful hair. Your ends are perfect. How do you keep them up?

  • SOOO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi!! This comment has nothing to do with hair. I just really admire you. I'm from Trinidad. I have a bachelor's in psychology and I plan to start law next year. You're such a role model. It's nice to see a young sophisticated black woman.

  • your hair is definitely flourishing!! your thickness is amazing!

  • Thanks MsHairGuru! :)

  • Your hair looks beautiful and most of all healthy! I have never gotten a dominican blowout... One day I will b/c I always hear such great things about the technique and the results!

  • Thanks so much! I definitely recommend the dominican blowout - feel free to let me know how your blowout turns out when you get one! :)
