Can someone please explain to me what these losers and misfits mean when they refer to "spammers" on YouTube? Spam is unsolicited EMAIL advertising... so what on earth does that have to do with what anyone is doing on YouTube? This has puzzled me for a long time so I hope someone has an answer for me. Spam isn't just e-mail and it's not just advertisements. The word was coined to refer to when someone just floods a text chat on a text based virtual world (Mucks,Muds,Mushes, etc) such as "singing" the monty python "spam" song. This was later applied to Usenet and finally to e-mail. There is still usenet spam to this very day. So yeah, it's just junk (usually ads) posted where it isn't welcomed just to get attention.
