For the movie, they built the 1000's of parts that the vehicles are made of. And then they found a way to make it all move and rearange to form a robot. They just filled in what was left empty.

Pretty much. The more I look at these characters, the more they look like millions of tiny pieces pieces magically holding hands instead of millions of tiny pieces bolted and welded together to form solid, articulated parts.
Yeah but remember the Transformers are Super Robots that are supposed to much more advanced than us, so maybe they have differant ways off holding themselves together.

I've noticed that when someone is joking in a text-based conversation its much harder to tell if someone is joking or not, ive made jokes that people took seriously and see other too.
