  • Canada's largest freeway Hy 401

  • ahh the good ole 401.. i avoid goin this way at all costs!

  • hey I been to Toronto this weekend and I drove around this exact same spot. I found it flipping huge. Coming from a pocket city not much bigger than Belleville, this highway network left quite an impression on me. I found drivers to be very disciplined on Toronto's street. Maybe Im just lucky. I wanna move there right now :)

  • Disciplined? They're fucking incompetent. They drive like fucking paralyzed Handicaps. It really shows you dont come here very often.

  • from east to west but the train looks like the train in the pearson airport

  • they need to make sky way above 401 or train

  • hey that part of highway is on the express lanes of 401, going east, and after the valley dip is the QEW/404 coming up. i love the 401.

  • I wouldn't call this a highway. A highway is something alot smaller with maybe 2 to 4 lanes (example Sea to Sky Highway in BC). This is more of a motorway or freeway.

  • It's all terminology. Most people from larger urban centres call the freeways "highways" interchangeably, although there is a technical difference (freeways are controlled access, separated, no 'at grade' intersections, whereas highways are not always separated, have at grade intersections... etc, you get the point)

  • Yo where did you go to school? Centre is French. It's CENTER!!!!

  • wow...you took the effort to reply to a 6 month old comment to correct it....thaaanks.

but ACTUALLY it is CORRECT in this context. centre is the british spelling...I'm canadian, this video is from canada...so I used the correct spelling...just like neighbour vs neighbor or colour vs color...

  • man I use to travel the 401 t get to school now I take the go train cause I am from Bomanwille.

  • nO WAY I LIVED CLOSE TO WHERE THE VID WAS SHOT! YORK MILLS AND DVP! on roywood drive!

  • Toronto has the most highway accidents in the world

  • Toronto also has the busiest highway in the world. So it makes sense.

  • Hi! I live in Toronto and the highway traffic is a big shit. It is a big piece of shit. I hate drive in Toronto so i go by subway cause it is better than car and the way by car longer than by subway for me.

  • I know that alot of Uncle sam feel anxious when they are driving 400 series highway...

  • oh my god lol 12 LANES!!!!

  • Bah, it's 20 in Mississauga. The section in the video is the narrow part ;)

  • Yeah anything west of DVP is brutal. This is Heading eastbound by leslie and approaching don valley? Mississauga is jammed most of the day.

  • lol, btw if thought that was wide you should research the widening of 1-10 to 24 lanes in Phoenix, Arizona

  • yeah, but Toronto probably has the most brutal highway traffic on the continent...those wide lanes aren't really helping out as much as they should be.

  • 401 is the world's busiest highway so...

  • Well at least North America's.

  • The highway in Pheonix you are talking about is probably only being widened for a couple miles, where two highways intersect. Toronto's 401 is 18+ lanes all the way through the City (About 35 miles).
