his sound is all the way up on treble, 4 on mid and 6 on bass, that is his real sound, i looked at the settings on the marshalls he used when i was backstage at one of the velvet revolver concerts

Nah, its more comfortable (for somebody) to play rythm and stuff with the guitar lower than the "norm" .. You feel more relaxed in the arms. At least i do. But obviously, if you have short arms, having your guitar down low isn't going to work.
im primarily a lead guitarist, so i prefer to hold the guitar relatively high. and it doesn't really matter how long your arms are... im 6'5" and i still prefer to play high up
He probably uses one of these little machines you connect to the computer and the guitar and the computer then records it with almost perfect sound...
for me..they were a huge improvement. My minihumbuckers were dying. They were squealing whenever I wasn't playing a note with distortion on, and to me, the sound wasn't crunchy enough.

if you find it hard to reach the strings because your guitar is too low, theres something wrong.
it doesnt look cool and judging by the way you have to move your body to play just shows that you need to make your strap higher.

I feel most comfortable with the guitar at this level. It's better for palm muting and pinch harmonics...that's just my preference anyway.
I also think it looks strange to stand with a guitar higher than the belly button.
