@Harvest8888 Mount and Musket has much nicer graphics than this! We also have weekly line battles of 150-200 people every friday, made up of many different regiments in the community which all practice / organize on their own. There is always a sale (usually Steam or Direct2Drive) every now and then, which usually brings in a large influx of players to our regiment (1st Reddit). The combat can also be fairly complex once you get involved with it, particularly the melee.

As to whether mount and blade or the source engine has better graphics...honestly I think they are about the same. This particular map is pretty sparse and doesn't do the engine or mod justice.

@Harvest8888 I'll confirm you one thing. This game has better reloading animation and sounds. But honestly dude. Not to seem a fanboy or whatever. But mount and blade warband engine cannot be compared to this graphics wise. M&B uses shader technologies (bloom reflection occlusion HDR bump mapping etc) without counting better more battle animation. (bayonet attack doesn't feel right here)

But yeah if its free i admit you have to respect that. M&B isn't very pricey either...

@metalgearrexlover Doesn't work very well in game. 1. You are a larger target. 2. It is less manuverable and hard to hold together. 3. Smoke from the first volley obscures vision of the other ranks. Some commanders do maintain a single line but divide it into the left and right squad and that works out well enough.
