Sure, they all learn the same basis, but they all have an unique style on their own. Some are more simmilar than others, Like Oda and FT's Mangaka, but you really can't look at for example DBZ and Elfen Lied and say the art even LOOKS the same.

@catsado I've got bad news for you, if you're watching/reading FT, a non-main stream anime/manga, you're already one by the your definition. And I don't need to be an otaku to see clear characteristic in art. For example, if you showed me a picture of every FF, I'd say the ones that Amano drawed and the ones Nomura drawed, every artist has a style, you just need to pay atention. Anyone can notice that Chrono Trigger had the art director that made DBZ, just by the way he draws stuff.

When I said "art" I meant the way they draw stuff, the word "art" has many meanings, I didn't refer to them as art, I refered to the characteristics intrinsic to the drawings. I could beging arguing as manga/anime are as much of an art style as cinema is, but I don't believe you have the vocabulary to maintain a coversation more than a sentence long.
