  • funny to see a lot of Chinese commercial posters mixed with Japanese pictures...

  • Great song.

  • arnold rothstein, what a gangster

  • Kinda funny that I remixed this song to a breakbeat kind of rhythm and posted it on my channel alongside old old movies and stuff :D

    Great music, this song!

  • This was one of Paul's first recordings, from August 19, 1920.

  • another lovely videp, top images, thanks again

  • Some of these posters are Chinese.

  • I think Whiteman and his UK clone, Jack Hylton, were both incredible - some of the first MAJOR recording artists who paved the way for all the others.

I'm creating playlists for each of the past 100 years and could add this to 1920 since you were kind enough to include the date! It's a work in progress . . . . . .

1950-1980 each play over 1 1/2 hours and I'm always working on the others.

  • Hello,

not especially fond of the music, you nevertheless

made a very nice video !

Compliments (as usual with all your videos) :-)

  • I'm not the particular fan of Paul Whiteman either. But I was tempted by a chance to connect the title with wonderful Japenese adveritisements from the 30s. Thank you for understanding my point :-)

  • @240252 What's not to like about Paul White

  • great video, great music :)

  • A charming piece of Occidental Japonaiserie with a catchy rhythm. The vintage Japanese posters are sweet and beautiful.
