most of my program are gone and missing becuz i used a program ccleaner and other program to make my computer well .. but it got worse, i was hoping to undo all mistake and bring back from the beginning ....
I have a problem with my computer (HP Pavilion dv6000), few weeks ago, its started giving me errors, crash, hang, freezes, etc. n mostly i do is to restart or download a program that could help...
anyways, Does system restore will help remove all error and missing program?
and why does system restore took a very long time continuously? ryt now its 4 or 5 hours from now...
@jarteaga87 Lets say you have no viruses whatsoever, then you make a restore POINT, then you download something that gives you a virus, since you made a restore point Before.. [BEFORE] ...you got the virus, when you restore, youll have no virus, but youll also lose the program also.
What if you didnt Create a Restore Point.. I didnt create a restore point bcuz i didnt really cared about it. Now i need bcuz im trying to make my comp faster and get rid of all the stuff i dont need. What do you do?
i didn't set up a restorepoint. my laptop basically i used to have a administrator account and that got this stupid virus from google called end user licencing agreement and i couldn't get rid of it from my desktop so i started the guest account and deleted the virused account. but now i'm on my guest account and it won't let me created an account it say u can't use certain charactor in the name of it but i only put in my name sam. and on my guest account i con only do basic things!!! Plz help?
i had bought this laptop used and some how it did a system restore and it had changed the ADMIN password so now i cant log in to change any thing what should i do ? and i have no cd's for it and its a HP Pavilion dv6000
hi.i have a problem when my system is booting.sometimes it gets stuck on the boot screen for long periods and doesn't start. is their a way to make a bootable vista disk?
Well, I have a REALLY screwed up Vista right now. And I want to restore it like to it's original out the box, without all the viruses and crap. So I have to use a Vista CD?
i have a hp desktop computer equipped with vista home premium and lately the automatic update has stopped working and when i do it manually it says the followin updates failed to b installed
i have the same thing too man ... my updates wont install and it cant check for new updates either. Has somethin to do with a corrupted file and u have to repair windows. I didnt make a restore point nor did i make recovery disks .. so that means i am fucked!. but tell me if u already fixed your problem or u still got it.
When I tried to repair my pc with vista cd, I got a message saying that if I have connect any camera or any usb thing to my computer which nothing was connected to my pc at that time. My point is it won't let me repair my pc using the repair option in the disc.
Rodney should write a book on computer hardware and repair, specifically with the words "Don't Panic!" written in large friendly letters on the cover.
no. system restore only restores configuration. It will not restore deleted files. To restore System32 you either have to reinstall Vista, or use Hard Drive managment software such as acronis, or norton partition magic 8 boot CD.
Hi, I was wondering if a 16 year old should make or buy a PC. I'm on a really tight budget. $1500 max. I'm really good with computers and no numerous things about them. But I just don't know if I should go with the parts I looked at because of certain reviews, or if I should just buy a Dell XPS 630. If you could help I would be more than glad. =)
if u dont know anything, buy a whole one, if u know how to put one together, like me, i'm 16 too btw, then u make one, u can create one sickass pc for that price...so do w/e suits u ;)
I was wondering if i'm allowed to use my laptop because it says "designed for windows vista". I'm not Vista, and I don't think i bought it from a guy called Vista. Should I return the product, because I'm really worried that it might have been stolen by a guy called Vista?
Hello 3DGAMEMAN. With Windows Vista on my old laptop thats have 512MB RAM, 128MB of GPU RAM. I need to close all the files when i am playing games or ill get the BlueScreen error. I didn´t know that Vista take so much of RAM space. But ill like to say that, VISTA is not good windows.
dude ofcourse it will suck on 50$ pc! get ur senf decent pc with at least 1 gig of DDR2 ram(3 gigs will be enuff for gaming), and at least Pentium IV 3.00 GHz(Quad core is reccomended for gaming) CPU or equal AMD. And at least Nvidia 8600 or Ati x1900 videocard(Ati 4850 is reccomended for budget game rig.)
you can repair with the xp disk. boot from the cd, skip the recovery console, press f8 to agree and then on the list of drives it should have an option to repair. Just keep looking in the grey bar down the bottom to see what the options are.
IGNORE LVANDEE'S ADVISE! This will harm ur pc, and there will be no way to recover ur OS without reinstalling! to fix Vista, you need to boot ONLY from vista boot or else it will screw ur mbr, and you will have to do full format.
yes, i do know about this, but when ever I encounter this situation and use the restore feature, it finishes and then windows bluescreens. Probably dude to some driver it tried to use from the previous install on the new install, it just feels messy :)
Whats better rody the nforce 790i Ultra SLI or the Intel Skultrail for the High High end gaming Rig please answer me im going to get my parts in 2 days thank you. P.S Love your vids dude
def the 790i. the skulltrail only supports ddr2 800 memory, which is good for a comp but you want HIGH HIGH end gaming so ddr3 is best. and even though the skulltrail has 4 pci, they are not 2.0 the skulltrail is just a waste of money imo. you don't need dual processors. one good processor is better than lots of low end parts.
you're right. there's no major difference but for a good future proof pc, 2.0 is better. double the bandwidth. BUT THE dual cpu's are just too far ahead for a PC at this time. i'm sure when the time is right, much cheaper and better mobo's with dual cpus will come out. probably for nahalem though.
yea that too. I havent seen any game so far that takes full potential from a single quad core q6600 CPU(besides gmod and crsis editor, cuz those games have no limit in need of processing power) so why would u need two of those?
this might work but for some reason when i make a restore point when ever i need to go back my restore point isnt there it says that i have one but its on the same day that i am on like if i have a problem on the 5th it says i have one restore point on the 5th and my other one is gone so can you tell me how to save it or something cause i make one then it is gone when i need it???
why would you want windows vista in the first place..

Vista computers now come with a partition called "Recovery". You normally dont need a vista CD but not all computers come with it.

It is easy for you to say repair with the cd isn't it :)
I feel that it's a handfull more than that.
I have never been able to "repair" a windows installation with the cd since windows 2000 came out.
