In my opinion Lavrovsky's lyricism and nobility remain unsurpassed to this day. He was the epitome of a prince. Madame Timofeyeva is one of the most brilliant and strong technicians the ballet world has ever seen, her bravura and fearlessness are remarkable. This video captures one of the best partnerships of all times, they complement each other perfectly.
I look at this great ballerina who actually looks like a woman and not those anorexic legs that wrap their extensions around their ears.(You know who they are) and I say thank you Nina Timofeyeva.Lavrosky had the greatest double tour assembles in history.
lavrovsky ,l was so lucky to see him many times, was one of the greatest dancers of his generation, not very known outside russia, but really great dancer and artist, his tecnique was phenomenal for his time, and not only
@Leonnidik which great dancers miss so much the bolchoi male dancers of this generation,l consider myself very lucky having seen them live many times,in particoular volodia vasiliev and lavrovsky, god bless them for the joy they gave to people with their umbelivle dancing.
Thank you for this , I agree that Mikhail Lavorovsky is superb, but I find Nina Timofeyeva to be much to hard as Nikiya, who should be a soft lyrical magical being..
Magnificent! Thank you so much for posting this fantastic footage. Lavrovsky was a brilliant dancer - graceful and poised, speed, beauty - he had it all. He's one of my favorite dancers.
Two great dancers from the 50s and 60s ! Thanks dear @Kievest for sharing -

Was privileged to see a performance of Stone Flower with Nina
Timofeyeva as Mistress of Copper Mountain...she was positively
thrilling and a fine actress! She could jump double her own
height! The glory of these sublime performances is that they
are about more than technique, combining poetry and drama
as well as physical prowess to create a timeless, enduring
and unforgettable experience in the theater! Thank you for
posting this historic treasure!
