  • Nearly ALL of the videos on You Tube showcasing some kind of rotating action for the generation of energy, give no actual information... how about torque ratings? How big, what wind speed, at what cost, will it take to turn out ...2000 watts? Etc.

  • Somebody shoot da whoop at 0:30

  • back to the future 4 its wind time

  • 1:06

Imagine picking up your date in that car

  • AntyNWO.pl

  • loud as fuck

  • i should hunt you down and beat the piss out of you for doing that to a mk3 supra

  • he sounds like ferris buler

  • that wind is bloin fast it looks like its going the right sppe of the wind

  • Oregon?

  • wtf, why would you do that to a supra????

i hope you put the car back to its original form after this, before i call the toyota police.

    they would be devastated!!

  • How fast does it need to spin to travel through time?

  • @0Soule0 id a say a nice cruise down a highway would do it

  • I love it

  • I do not understand why this vid has a 10 thumbs down rating.

    Why?

This is the kind of thinking we need in the world today.

Great work and keep it up. I sub.

  • @4me2cclearly Because they did that to a supra.

  • @Totenhosen17

    LMAO!

    OOOOOOOO

I C said the blind man.

  • u mean as it turns, it plays music?

  • wow wow wow

  • Cannon Beach!!!

  • wow... a single pirouette charged Supra.....

  • TobyKinkaid11, If your VAWT can produce more than 5kW of power, I can then intergrate it with the solar power generator trailer (Just a thought).FYI 1,000watt = 1kW

  • it's brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh man it means KW.

    KW/Hr doesnt make sense

  • now just make it out of light weight solar panels lol

  • very good wind turbine! congrats

  • Are we human?

    Or are we dancer?

    ...Hey guys!

  • Where can I get one!?

  • I've heard there are turbidity issues with VAWT, and also that placing them on top of houses or other structures can present installation cost and potential structural porblems. I guess the problem is clearance, you need to have a very high pole if you are in an urban center instead of out on the beach (Lincoln City is beautiful). That being said, wind is our best hope for the future. I look forward to seeing more advances, although I still believe that for now HAWT are our best bet.

  • car should have been a delorean

  • ...not sure this turbine can produce the 1.21 gigawatts needed for the flux capacitor though :/

  • I have one in my 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 car, wanna borrow? :)

  • @purefusion2 flux capacitor. that's awesome.

  • Very nice. What's the approx. cost to power an average house with this?

  • This is very awesome. Has anyone heard of a water pressure electric generator that connects to a home?

    Sean Teelucksingh

    Valrico Florida

  • whoa, powered by the water company, haha!

  • I had an idea to make such a thing when my power went out one day

  • Pelton wheel...

  • how soon will this technology be ready for home use, and at what cost?

  • Hey Toby, caught your name, I wonder if we're related. ^_^

Love your design, besides the electricity generating possibilities, the aesthetics of it is gorgeous!! ^_^

Did you know the first known examples of windmills used vertical fins? ^_^

    Great job!

  • i was looking for intelligent life on you tube it seems i found it

good job thanks for the inspirational work

  • What can I power with this like tv lights what's the current

  • At least on your website you make the reaslistic claim of 17% efficiency - that is refreshing, most companies promoting new VAWT designs are much less forthcoming. That's about half what the average HAWT can capture but realistic for this sort of design. I think if you crunch the numbers you'll find it needs to be quite large to have any impact on the 'average' persons power consumption.

  • cool

  • It also looks very nice.

  • The HelyxTM technology is totally silent running. The squeaking is the sound of the mounts on the test truck supporting the tower, the HelyxTM itself makes no sound in operation at any wind speed.

  • I wanna know about the output from this windmill

  • So it's a more sophisticated pico turbine. Well the plastics and ducts seem to increase yeild by deminishing weight and adding surface area. Looks good, hope to see more in the future

  • Some designs have much more weight; needing time to get up to speed, but extra weight sustains momentum from gust to gust. With the light plastics a light wind will product oscillation. This seem to be the design that may oust the 'windmill' for low torque turbines. Ideal for home/apartment use.
