@HippiexChild If you have an Aftermarket BOV, you suck in 10cfm of air like normal, when you shift 5cfm gets dumped to the atmosphere (that makes the psss sound) but your engine has already added fuel for 10cfm... so your running super rich, that is what causes the stutter stumble effects, espicially while shifting, a RV or (recirculating valve) does the exact same thing with no psss sound.
@HippiexChild i know this kid is lieing to cuz that car comes stock with a RV and he claims no valve? i used to have an sti that was 411whp 387 ftlbs of torque instead of mr. stock here, mine would make 60 in 4.1 seconds this kid is taking about 6 seconds like the stock sti, the stock sti takes 6.1 seconds from 0-60 definatly no turbo upgrade here

At what altitude, temperature (Farenheit please,) elevation did you run your car? what was your sixty foot? what speed did you trap at 11.8? and same for 11.2? oh and changing your drive shaft doesn't add power!
@11miksti The Driveshaft as I stated before frees up power. Its like a lighter flywheel. Elevation was at sea level, 63 degrees. 1.75 60 ft/1.5 60ft: 107/110 trap speeds: I only added this video in the thought of embarressing my fiancee. Ill post another launch here soon.
@AtherSpooner Im boosting at 22 psi. I really couldnt get any more power into the engine without spend 3-4k in internal modding so I stopped b4 I blow up my engine lol.

@connor4236 if you are doing mid 9's then you have to be trapping between 150 - 160 mph. 100 mph is in the 14 sec range. OR did you mean to say it takes you 9 sec to get to 100 mph..

@kyleloz212 rough estimate id say 300-350. based off of video time, it took 10 seconds to get to about 85 with a light launch which would put you at 1000 feet and a potential trap of about 110. dont forget dynojet's read high, not the other way around. i know you said you ran an 11 but east coast 16g (hta68) subies run 10's. time slips dont speak to overall power.

@11miksti i have an evo now my old sti would run high elevens, my evo 427hp 402ftlbs it makes 10.4 to tha best from ownership of the two vehicles id say id like my evo more but no sti is runnin low 11's with 400 hp unless you have wieght reduction or nos, i know cuz i have done wieght reduction to my evo
It does take time and practice just have to remember that the harder you pop the clutch the harder it will be on the tranny what i do is i rev the car up slightly hold it till 3000 when i'm ready to launch i hold it at 4500 and when launching i slip the clutch fast but still smoothly and halfway through i gun it and let the clutch go at 3/4 way up but you have to time it otherwise you'll burn the clutch.
I have a vid of launching my 2009 WRX but i just had the car for a month back then and wasn't all comfortable launching it yet but was still a good 5.4sec 0-60
@ctsincebay actually, if you bought a fairly new sti and tossed in an engine that makes hp more efficiently, then modded the drivetrain you'd probably beat a viper in both acceleration and track performance, all it requires some time and effort, esspecially now with newer engines they can make big hp AND pass emmissions in the us

How am I a bad driver just? Just becasue I didnt launch it at higher rpms? Knowing when to shift and not spinning your wheels to me is more important, and yes with over 400 whp, a carbon fiber driveshaft and being in 40-60 degree weather will make any awd cars wheels spin.
you aint terrible just not good... shift slow dont take it to ur limit- to stay in power band. ur launch needs a lot of practice. what year sti? cause after further review your 3rd is short... I dont know if it seemed short enough to justify 400wheel... I believe 3rd ends 89-90 4th 110 if its an 07 with that beauty of a transmission!
Well my first clutch in my evo got burnt up from my dad having me trying to pull out a tree from our yard so he replaced that one. The next exedy stage 2 got burned from all the launching I was practicing and the third clutch I decided to go with the stage 3 cerametalic clutch which lastest a bit longer. I let my unexperienced friend drive my car when I was drinking one night (being responsible) and drove my evo into a house at 65 mph. I sued his and mine insurance company and got the STI
@kyleloz212 you point out a good point, not your fault. but i would never let someone drive my car unless it was family. i don't trust people that much to do that. its just something that i would rather have at the end of the day. but in the long run you got an STI. so as long as you don't have a high premium from the accident or have a "sports" car, then you came out the lucky dog...

There isnt many people who win lawsuits against vehicle accidents, but I had to go threw numerous sugeries such as a rhysonomy shot, spine surgery to untether my spinal cord, and a few urology visits.

@ctsincebay My ex girls parents had a maserati that I drove many times. Besides the nice looking exterior and interior the thing was not mechanically sound. They must have had it in the shop over 5 times in a 9 month period. BTW my girl gets excited when she gets in my car. Shes laughs at all these vipers and m5s that cost 3 times as much when I spent half the amount to have it faster and a more driveable type of car. @kyleloz212 Mine's an 08 and it hasn't needed any service so far. Then again, I have 3 other cars so it doesn't get driven that frequently. Regardless, I'm curious what work you've had done to your car because Vipers are no joke. Low 11 second quarter miles are not an easy thing to accomplish with a WRX. Also starting at $40,000 for the STI, plus adding another $10-15k for work, the end result is you've only saved 30% the cost of a viper and in the end... it's still just an STI.
@ctsincebay to make 400 wheel horsepower does not cost 10-15 thousand dollars. few bolt ons injectors and a wide selection of after market turbo's easily will get you there. or if you want to keep stock vf34, go methanol injection and boom! oh and sti's dont cost 40k... I got ripped a lil and paid 34995. after tax and license yeah 40...
@11miksti Hmm, so if you bought the piece of shit one with cloth seats and even LESS niceties than the already POS STI limited... So Instead of $40k, you paid $38k. Woot woot that's close enough to $40k. Still, $10K is assuming you didn't do everything yourself. $4k for a full race kit, plus another $2-3k for someone to install it, and $2-300 for shit they never include. Then you need about 10 dyno sessions to get it tuned right.
@11miksti If you do all the work yourself, I suppose you could find a big enough turbo in the $1k range, spend a few hundred bucks on piping, $500 on a 3 row, $few hundred on injectors and a pump, new gaskets, and an ipod app to street tune with the accelerometer. Then you only need about three sessions to get it tuned right. So hey you're right, you could spend a weekend and about $3k and get 400. So you're right for the BARGAIN price of $42000, you can run 11's in a shitcan.
@11miksti I think you've got your facts correct... but MIXED UP. The 3rd gen viper ran mid 11's [you mention], but it only had 500HP. The 4th gen (2007+) made the 600hp [you mention], but runs high 10's.

@kyleloz212 Mine's an 08 and it hasn't needed any service so far. Then again, I have 3 other cars so it doesn't get driven that frequently. Regardless, I'm curious what work you've had done to your car because Vipers are no joke. Low 11 second quarter miles are not an easy thing to accomplish with a WRX. Also starting at $40,000 for the STI, plus adding another $10-15k for work, the end result is you've only saved 30% the cost of a viper and in the end... it's still just an STI.

@ctsincebay to make 400 wheel horsepower does not cost 10-15 thousand dollars. few bolt ons injectors and a wide selection of after market turbo's easily will get you there. or if you want to keep stock vf34, go methanol injection and boom! oh and sti's dont cost 40k... I got ripped a lil and paid 34995. after tax and license yeah 40...

@11miksti Hmm, so if you bought the piece of shit one with cloth seats and even LESS niceties than the already POS STI limited... So Instead of $40k, you paid $38k. Woot woot that's close enough to $40k. Still, $10K is assuming you didn't do everything yourself. $4k for a full race kit, plus another $2-3k for someone to install it, and $2-300 for shit they never include. Then you need about 10 dyno sessions to get it tuned right.

@11miksti If you do all the work yourself, I suppose you could find a big enough turbo in the $1k range, spend a few hundred bucks on piping, $500 on a 3 row, $few hundred on injectors and a pump, new gaskets, and an ipod app to street tune with the accelerometer. Then you only need about three sessions to get it tuned right. So hey you're right, you could spend a weekend and about $3k and get 400. So you're right for the BARGAIN price of $42000, you can run 11's in a shitcan.

@11miksti I think you've got your facts correct... but MIXED UP. The 3rd gen viper ran mid 11's [you mention], but it only had 500HP. The 4th gen (2007+) made the 600hp [you mention], but runs high 10's.

I wouldn't mind owning any one of them as long as I still have my muscle car sitting next to it lol.
