Rad. I could never figure out how to get my recording cube to work.
I recently lost one of the pawns and contacted Zoundz. I'm getting a replacement piece, but the informed me that the parts are no longer being manudfactured.
I couldn't figure it out for a while either, then I got the genius idea to open the instruction booklet and it says something like hold down the up and down arrows simultaneously for a few seconds, then it says "begin" and you have 5 seconds to record any sound. Mine was from a vintage kool-aid commercial :D
Yeah, the problem is the buttons are too insensitive, once i opened the unit i could get it working fine.
i've got another zoundz unit, i have a theory, i don't think anything is recorded to the block, the block simply tells zoundz to access it's memory, this will be easily proved by using the record block from the second unit. i'll let you know.
What makes you think there will be an updated unit?
This initially retailed at £29.99 in the UK, at that price I was never fully convinced and rightfully so, after roughly 12 months of waiting i was able to buy 2, brand new, from home bargains (a UK discount chain) for the princely sum of £5 each, thus it failed commercially. IMHO.
I'm allways wondering what would happen if you have a pair of all the pieces. And you use them at the same time.

Oh, sorry, you speak to the majority of the public do you?
I think this thing has potential, and Zizzle are a up and coming company.
I didn't pay 29.99, but was happy with what I paid.
They sell extremely well secondhand.
I can see that with a few easy and moinor adjustments that this could be very nifty.

Yes the sound is stored in the base unit not the cube. As this stupid system limits you to a 500 character reply. My reply is cut short.

It's very fiddley, needs to be held down just right.
Can't wait for next generation, I'm sure all the little things will be ironed out.
