  • Nice! I like the sound. Always been a sucker for the slow blues.. your amp sounds nice! i havent tried the frontman. I use a fenderr champ. Not alot of power (wich meens i have to mic it up and put it in a box when im on stage), but i love the tone. keep it up man!

  • Thanks for the kind words, that amp sounds good and I used it for alomost 6 years, I recently got a fender Blues Junior and I love it, its a great amp for harp, I will post some songs played thru the Blues Junior soon.

  • Hey what an ispiring piece of work here. Can you guys suggest some albums to get with music in that style? Cos I've been really in love with that kind of stuff since I saw "Cowboy Bebop - Sympathy for the devil". I've got "Blues masters vol2 - more harmonica classics" album, but thats not it. Too much lyrics, too high tempo, too funky. I want dark and and solo harp. Thanx

  • hey, thnx for posting, I like James Cotton´s style for slow blues, look for James Cotton Slow Blues here in youtube. the Muddy Waters albums Hard Again, King Bee, Im ready are great... look for Sonny Boy Williamson II song "Trust my baby" thats very slow and expressive, Rod Piazza has also some of the greatest slow blues pieces out there. thanx, good luck

  • Thanks, I'll be checking those out.

  • Nice, clean phrasing. And, I like the hat.

  • nice! great playing! do you bend by only useing your toungh, or do you also use your lips to cover a bit of the hole?

  • thanks, I always use lip pursing style, only tongue block while making octaves, tongue slaps, flutter tongue, I dont tongue block to play single notes, and I dont bend while tongue blocking.... hope that answers your question

  • Helped a lot! thanks! just startet playing two days ago, just got to the bending:P but thanks for the advice! :)

  • very nice, love the sound as well

  • I am surprise that you can sound good without a tube amp (you know what they say... use Blues junior, which you basically debunked) can you tell me your settings for the Frontman?

  • Hello, well, actually I believe that you can use whatever is best suitable to your needs, an amp/mic choice is like an ice cream flavor choice, its a personal thing... I personally dont like too much distortion, I set the amp with the bass around 7, the mids around 5, the treble aroud 3, in this case I set the reverb at about 3, I set it higher when jamming with a band, no gain set in the amp, no pedals, just mic and amp. thanks for posting

  • i like ur vibrato

  • great stuff

  • Nice blues!

Can you teach me which microphone are you using?

  • Hello, Im using a Shure Green Bullet DX with a Controlled Magnetic element, the DX originally has a Dynamic element, In this case I set the mic volume at about 4, to moderate the output signal of the mic and get a tone without to much dostortion.

  • Thank you very much.

  • ive been playing blues on guitar now for 2 and a half years, ive been thinkin about getting a harmonica, what kind would you suggest?

  • Hello!, I would suggest a 10 hole Diatonic Harmonica, a Hohner Special 20 in the key of C would be good, because is made of plastic and is smoother with the lips while getting use to play, you can also get a Key of A and D harmonicas, they are frecuently used to jam.

  • ok thanks alot

  • talk about chillin! good job man

  • this vid helped me alot, tried to get some of the stuff down and imitate the wonderful vibrato. my lips hurts but i think ill get the hang of it soon, thanks.
