The only similarity between Bush and Nirvana is the genre they were pigeonholed into. They were called grunge and so let the "Sounds just like" comments begin. To me, Bush sounds as different from Nirvana as night from day. Besides that, Gavin actually enunciates whereas Kurt sounded like he was far too tired to open his mouth fully. I loved the Nirvana sound, but Bush was much better.
@barrywroteit You're right about everything except the last sentence. This is maybe one of the only handful of songs that Gavin actually wrote. Most everything else Bush sucks. 4:29 is a complete Nirvana thing.. he was definitely a fan of Kurt.

I usually think of Bush as rip off of all of the big grunge bands, especially Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Pearl jam. But this song does sound pretty good.
I've always wondered what this song was once I heard it somewhere once some time ago on the radio in between the fuzz of some commercial.. It pays to glance at the right "related videos" bar when browsing older music.
This song is about possibly heroin. "Shoot up, shoot up, You're high" And I've heard a lot of people refer the high of heroin is like being on a cloud... just my opinion. i could be wrong.. but i don't think so

@redsquall5 I wouldn't go as far as to say it's Borrowed,All 80's Kicked So Much Ass, #1 Because it was my Roots, and how Hard it was to play & many hours learning complex Solo's,So when I hear alot of Music thats just Bar Chords,You Have to understand from a Lead Guitarist /Musician's Point of View the Technical Guitar Playing I started off Learning Back in my Day when I was 10 & im 36 fixing to be 37,So all the Killer guitarist from the 80's are the BOMB,and no one stood out 2 me in the 90's
@chadmbedwell Part of the reason there weren't many outstandingly technical guitarists of the 90s is because it wasn't trendy to play complex solos. Rock became so grandiose and theatrical (especially the live shows). The alternative rock of the 90s like Nirvana grew out of the stripped down punk aesthetic of the late 70s/80s.
@g0ldbuG Well Man,I just look at it like a Decade of Wasted years when Now so Many people have been wanting Good Rock from Back in the mid 2 Late 80's early 90's,Before NIRVANA. To me the Guitarist of that ERA R in Fact the Giants of our Modern day today. Like Lynch,Wylde, Vai, Malmsteen,Satriani,etc.etc. They r the Giants of TODAY.It's just NIRVANA & the Bands which I hate so much,Like The Proclaimers I would walk 500 miles,& If u want 2 destroy my Sweater,Weezer.I mean THAT IS CRAP!!
@chadmbedwell the proclaimers song was a catchy if annoying tune popular for, if anything, the memorable and rare (in popular music, anyway) scottish accent of the two singing lads. as far as weezer goes, they aren't as profound a band as Nirvana, of course, artistically speaking, but they did make (again) catchy "geek rock" tunes. I myself was young enough that I actually bought the blue album -- if you can believe that.
@g0ldbuG Also about 95% of all the Bands n the 90's even up 2 now done away with Kick Ass Lead Guitar Playing,it's as if they all Just went 2 a Pawn Shop got a $200 Guitar learned a few Bar chords& wrote some lyrics with NO Lead, Just boring elementary barchords,& Made it Big! Really it's like a Fuckin Insult 2 Guitarist such as myself that has been playing 26 years since I was 10 yrs.old & started in '84' & u know that ERA was very Complex Playing Such as Solo's,U should C where Im coming from
