  • wow... 10 seconds in you can see the devils face looking at the wreck !@

  • they said it was a normal training exercise but it was actually training for an SAS mission .

  • "Vortex ring state," "rotor droop," "GPS problem." Thank God for all the YouTube aviation experts. Who needs mishap reports? I can just ask a YouTube expert. Sweet.

  • Was probably a vortex ring state. Given the bad weather the pilot was probably descending to fast vertically.

  • Damn, if they hadn't have lost the tail rotor he probably would have been able to correct that

  • look closely at the pilot door at 0:10 it looks like the gets open and the pilot falls out

  • dont get it; the sea looked calm, visibility good, clear deck. gung ho pilot ?

  • The enquiry said it was rotor droop.

  • Aviation Week dot com has a small write up that indicated it was either a GPS problem or "rotor droop", a condition where the downwash of the rotor was at the same speed as the descent of the copter, causing the blades to provide no lift.

  • thats sad to watch... people dying.... helicopter crashing like that. Rest in peace.
