First of all Lars is 45. Second, drummers like Mike Portnoy, Dave Lombardo, and Gene Hoglan are all in their 40s, respectively. Watch some videos of them playing recently. Lars Ulrich is sloppy, cant keep time, and sucks now compared to what he once was.

Lars is just fuckin lazy. He's a 45 year old who just goes through the motions in the Metallica Corporation now. He's more about schmoozing now, counting his millions and showing up to play a few shows. He IS a shell of what he once was. He's got horrible meter and falls off the horse during every race. Flawless Victory! Not even Lars can play that note for note. They recorded the drums in sections and pieced it together, reusing many of the similar parts over and over again. This is why Mettalica has never performed that song live. Great job!

actually, the double bass in All Nightmare long is pretty close to the doubles in dyers eve. and i saw a video of him in the studio playing all nightmare long really good. it even shows behind the basses his feet are going crazy. i think he can play dyers eve but since it takes alot of energy and tires your legs out quick he rather not play it to play good forthe other songs they do in concerts.
