to camil012345 > Estoy de acuerdo - esta es una de mis canciones favoritas de Carlos con los que crecí de los originales en el Abraxas de 1960 a 1970, Santana es el mejor
my grandpa tought carlos santana how to play guitar when carlos moved to tj as a kid i heard that he would always wake my grandpa up in the middle of the night so that he can teach him
May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969' by the invisible man. The author is a big fan of this fine instrumental.
Remember borrowing a friends LP to learn this and "Incident at Neshabur" on a
little Gibson Melody Maker my dad got me for birthday. That guitar and those times been gone almost four decades but this sound lives. Thanks for posting
i first heard this on a sampler album in the early 70,s with laura nyro, johnny winter, the flock and quite a few more great bands I,ve still got it and still enjoy it. Along the
the other albums bought from the sampler ah! memories of my young days.
Check out the albums - Welcome, Caravanserai, and Borboletta...these are Santana at his most creative, and beautiful. And I'm not just being nostalgic.
Had a great experience to see Santana play at Ithaca, Cornell U. auditoreum, c. 1984.
I was attending college at Hobart, up State NY, Hobart, and a student, Jennifer/? just gave me the ticket, and said enjoy. Thanks. She have tried w/ her more. Carlos, the old man on percussions, amazing.
Santana has so many great songs, and it just irritates me that the only one that they ever play on the radio waves is "Black Magic Woman", like that's the only song he ever did! Great music, thanks for loading it!
Carloooooooos!!!! Carlito! Oh yeah, and Greg Rolie, and the boys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Every time I hear one of the great cuts by this man and his cohorts, I wanna say that this is Santana at his best, but.... It's all great! The man is incapable of making music that isn't good. There's only a handful of artists that this can be said about. Mozart, Miles, Metallica, Streisand, Sinatra, Santana, and a very few others. And I am NOT overstating it.
DAMN THIS ROLA FUCKEN TAKES ME BACK IN THE GANGSTER DAYS WHEN IT USE TO BE ALL GANGSTERED OUT NOT SHIT LIKE NOW A DAYS NO SABEN NI QUE PEDO SHAOW FIRME OLDIE ROLAS LOVE THEM FOR LIFE HASTA LA MADRE QUE NO
i have been witness to alot of amazing music before and since, but this one song stands out as the greatest single effort in recording history i've ever heard. i should stop before i get carried away any further...
De lo mejor de Santana, 1970. Ese disco casi lo gasté de tanto ponerlo, imagínense, era un acetato y todos los días se tocaba, pero...todavía lo conservo.( y suena perfecto ¡¡¡ )
Purity... Serenity... yes, Honesty.. Carlos in Unforgetable Flow, perfect playing and an Utterly UN-FORGETABLE INTRO... Soooo many memories from '71 and on down through the ages.. love & peace
@firfun1 I'm not cutting in, but I remember all of those great dances we had almost every Friday night in the 70's. They were great times and I also remember her.
That is hilarious...maybe the women weren't gullible....they could have possibly enjoyed all of the above and could have been taking advantage of you ;0)
It was funny. It is almost like they disengaged from the real world for the sole purpose of not accepting responsibility for anything. The normal ones would not get within a mile of a hippie pad.

The three woodstock era factors merged beautifully:
(1) peace makers (Ghandi, Tolstoy, MLK),
(2) bands, but most notably, Santana;
(3) pot .
That harmony produced an inexhaustable supply of women who were the most gullible people on earth.
Simple process.
(A) bring a "Peace" book to a hippie pad (B) play Santana on the cassette
(C) smoke pot until you saw God
The result: got laid faster than you could say "I have a dream". Fun times. Gone for good.
acrausch0713 2 years ago
