Vinces problem wasnt just the injuries, it was that he played lazy and relied on his jumper too much. He never had a mid-range J as good as Kobe's, but he was more dynamic at the basket. I would compare him more to Lebron than Kobe. He could have been that type of player his entire career had he stayed healthy and put the work in. He was the most athletically gifted player in the era between Jordan and Lebron.

Kobe's jumper is definitely better that Carter's. Nobody else in the L can hit the fall away as consistently as Kobe, and his pull up is better than Carter's as well.

I wouldn't say it's DEFINITELY better, b/c VC has a higher 3pt% for the season and his career. Kobe's FG% is marginally better for his career, and the only place where he's got a significant edge is FT shooting. Kobe is 84% for his career, VC 79.5%. The only reason VC's FG% is lower is b/c he settles for fadeaways too much when he can attack the rim, which is what Kobe does. So, in conclusion, VC is a better THREE POINT shooter...to be precise.
