  • Nice one Thomas! Really interesting and informative video, as usual. For a beginner like me in the world of amplified harp, what is the advantage of an Amphenol connecter over a standard 6.3mm jack? Is it simply security of connection? Ciao, Mark.

  • @hillspring13 no its just the classic sh.. , you know, could be any other connector, but real harp player got all the good mics or most of the good mics with amphenol connectors

  • I have some mics, i'm a collector, but just Shure and Astatic's.

    I have 2 original Astatic JT-30 (A & B model):

    - A model: storng MC-101

    - B is MC-151, but its about 80% now, its only 3 years old, i bought it as a new...

1 Astatic JT-30H (XLR), its has no volume pot, and 100% MC-151.

2 Hohner Blues Blaster with 100% MC-151 both.

Shure 520D, i change the mexican 99S556 element for a strong Shure CM 99B86.

Shure dark silver hammertone bullet (it's maybe CR20) i put the 520d's mexican element.

  • @Herflee nice collection

well the R198 is good for me, it sounds just fine, if the older ones are good for you no problem, and i do have some elements in my descriptions i think

  • Can I replace the normal element of a normal green bullet by the R198?(Is it a better element?)

And wath is the cost of this element ???

  • @notfoundyet1 , well its the same element, just let what you have in your mic, i dont know how much it is, sorry

  • Very nice!

  • As usual great information! Thanks! I did not know about the bluexlab co. The astatic 200 mike is very nice!! My favorite shell!
