Marijuana, although not as bad as cigarettes, is still detrimental to lungs. The promoting growth of braincells is also a myth. With overuse, it can also be harmful to brain growth and can effect the connecting of vital neurons in the brain.

It's their body, let them use their property rights. As long as no one else has their rights infringed upon, who cares? We should not criminalize the use of drugs and we should focus on the treatment of people with self-harming habits. Alcoholics have a problem and have easy access to treatment. People who use narcotics have a more difficult time because they don't want to end up in jail, and their substance abuse untreated.

They say its worse then smoking cigaretts to your lungs, but they are doing the test as if you are supposed to inhale more smoke, and hold it in longer... Which purely isnt the case since THC assimilates through the skin almost instantaneously.

@obeyance Marijuana although very valuable does have harmful side effects like any other drug. It has caused seizures and anaphylactic shock before so it can still be dangerous depending on the user. Marijuana, although not as bad as cigarettes, is still detrimental to lungs. The promoting growth of braincells is also a myth. With overuse, it can also be harmful to brain growth and can effect the connecting of vital neurons in the brain.

It is illegal because it is a drug that most people don't know much about except that it is consumed for pleasure by kids in any high school in the US. Without proper education about it, it can never be fully free. However you must remember, when I say "illegal" I mean excluding the 16 legal states. You must remember those before arguing about the subject. It is legal in many places.

Those cases were equivalent to where someone is "drunk" because they have had to much of it and are having a bad "trip" or reaction. Overdosing can still happen, it just reluctantly doesn't happen as easy as with other drugs.
