I'm sad to watch this video, although i can relate the need for money to take care of whatever it may be. It doesn't make sense to suffer just to hold onto physical silver. Having put most of my money into physical silver, and it being a non-cash flow long term investment has taught me to live more frugally which i took as a very valuable lesson.
I do want to thank you for your first stacking video though back in 2009. That video was one of the few that inspired me to start stacking!
@MavenProject I am very happy that I was able to have some influence in your financial future. I do firmly believe that silver will skyrocket soon. Just so you know, I ended up liquidating about 120 oz so I still have majority of my silver :-) Keep stacking my friend! FYI I was very sad too to let go of the 120 oz but it was really out of necessity.....
@MavenProject if you can hold on to all your silver..I think it will skyrocket very soon.....judging by the market...the euro crisis will temporarily increase the value of the dollar but that will only be temporarily. Once everybody realizes that the dollar is worthless then we will see some serious increase..
I agree the coin shops and classified sites will slow down in this market, but there are plenty of sites like APMEX that will sell silver. You might pay a little higher rate than normal, but you can still buy. I just grabbed a couple large bars from APMEX, but after seeing so much positive feedback about Quality Silver Bullion, I'm going to give them a shot next.
You're not a fool for selling it all. You're a fool for selling ANY OF IT. But people are free to be foolish, free to make mistakes, and free to take unnecessary risks. That's how we learn. I wish you the best, but your assertions of wishful thinking do not qualify as counters to those who you might consider your critics or detractors. I'm sure you'll get some Silver back, but you've probably set yourself back a great deal. Never sell on a major dip.
@veritasfiles If I didn't need the money within the next month I wouldn't be selling. The reality for silver is when the market crashes it crashes with it and it is my understand we are on the verge of a big crash this month in the paper market. Believe me, I wouldn't be selling unless if I had to. I am not advocating people to sell their silver, the point I am trying to get across is if you want to sell to make profit and re-stack there most likely will be physical silver available to buy.
Apmex will always sell (as long as they can obtain physical), but the question is at what premium. In 2008 when silver got hammered from $21 to under $9/oz, the premium over spot on Eagles went from about $2 to $7. As I recall all they had for anywhere near spot was 1000 oz bars and silver shot. One day I think we will see a major split between the paper price and the physical price, the banksters and government could set the paper price at $1 tomorrow if they wanted but that would backfire.
@DontTread0nMe1776 I am not sure if the physical price will ever split with paper price. If price does split I believe it will take a while for that to happen and the problem I have is that I don't have the time. When you have no income you are force to sell the first thing you can find that has value. I really don't want to sell but I don't have much of a choice.

apmex loves selling silver....especially making $3 premiums on generic silver...btw I will never sell my silver becuase of aTOTAL COLLASPSE...the life of the paper monetary scheme is at its 40 year dying mark...As history tells
@Silveready1 If it goes to $50 so be it...unfortunately I do not have the luxury at this point of my life to wait for it to go up....I have immediate needs unfortunately.

I noticed the same thing on CL today. A ton of buyers 1 seller selling $6.00 over spot in rolls of 20.

My strategy (a bit simpler): If it's at the low - like today - buy buy buy. If not - don't buy.
About the selling? After the imminent collapse only. No reason to sell now at all unless you know you can get more out of it than you already had.

@bc5620 ive been there before, well, I wish you the best and hope you made a decent profit.

@Silveready1 Also, I really don't think it will go to $50 .. at least not any time soon. I think we are in for another crash.
